Micro Cap Help needed
« on: February 12, 2024, 07:03:31 pm »

Hello,

this post can be closed. I did mistakes in shorting some wires in components, error found :-)

Hello,

i am a beginner in spice and only a little hobbyist in electronic. I want to simulate a schematic from a book. In real it works fine but in Micro cap the output is not real.
It is a booster from 12 to 200V and maybe here is someone who is working with Micro cap to view my schematic? This would be nice..in the attachement my files

Greets

Andreas

Its working as you uploaded, just the voltage is not that high? Is that what you are worried about?

Where did the schematic come from, any reason you didn't use this configuration: https://theorycircuit.com/boost-converter-circuit-555/

oh, i made a big fault, sorry. I saw that the Diode D1 is wrong (shortened). I have to change this error at once..

You have Drain and Source of mosfet shorted. Check the corrected circuit. How do you know that the output will be 200 V ? it is approx 110V.

oh, thank you very much :-) The error was in the schematic "under" the mosfet. I saw it now as i magnified.
Now the output voltage is super, about 170Volt
