A profesisonal short company sent me these demos as an example of what they can do. What do you think?
Yes there are spelling errors, and yes they are a tad annoying.

YT creators are pressured into making those, and creators offering no shorts will see YT "algorithms" lower the exposition of their other, conventional videos. Which is why most Youtubers feel compelled to make them.

Both Big Clive and Fran have both commented that Shorts are getting more views and engagements than recent videos.

I think it's difficult to make shorts from educational content.

Yes it is . But that’s assuming you want the shorts to be educational as well.
We try to do this on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@RohdeundSchwarz/shorts
Clearly a very different style from the samples Dave posted (and shorts in general)

The thing is you have to specifically design and shoot the video to be a 1min Short. Editing existing long form content rarely works.
If we jump from 15 minutes to 15 seconds videos, that is 60 times less. At 30FPS, 15s means 450 frames.
If this trend continues, next jump will be to show only 7...8 snapshot pics instead of a 15 minutes video.

Probably, but if it's consistent then you can't blame them for continuing to chase an audience there.
