Inspired by the last posts, I have now ordered some 0.1% resistors.
10, 100, 499, 1k, 10k, 100k and 1M.
Converted to the individual values, the resistors may lie in a correspondingly narrow range:
9.99....10.01 Ohm
99.9....100.1 Ohm
498.501....499.499 Ohm
0.999...1.001 kOhm
9.99....10.01 kOhm
99.9...100.1 kOhm
0.999...1.001 MOhm
Let's see what my measuring devices will measure, including the ET4410 in DCR mode.
Regarding the hidden calibration mode:
It is not “hidden” for no reason, you are changing the basic calibration of the device.
AFAIK, East Tester recommends references, R, C, and L for this.
References are tolerances that are significantly lower than the device tolerance, which should be obvious.
What is still reasonably affordable for R is a fortune for C and L.
And that brings me to an interesting point:
You criticized the lack of accuracy in the R measurement - but what about capacitors and coils? Did you measure that too?
And finally, one more thing regarding the basic accuracy of 0.2%:
As with all LCR meters, including much more expensive ones, it is very accurate.
Beyond that, it quickly becomes “less accurate”.
To stay in the “safe” range when measuring, you should take the nomogram into account.
