This was originally a question about component sourcing, but some users prefer to haggle about socialism in Russia vs. China. Thanks for nothing.
I suspect "separated components" means components that are not on a tape, so they can't be mounted by the pnp machine
I only ordered ICs that they normally don't stock. No problems (touch wood) so far.
Normally I assemble the components myself and only let JLCPCB produce the PCB circuit board part.
Because the unit price of their components is relatively expensive. Although the quality can be guaranteed, I am referring to counterfeit products. In other words, the price/performance ratio is very low,
If you are familiar with electronic components and understand the market conditions, you can arrange it yourself
Hello, we reassure you that quality is our top priority. Each part for assembly from JLCPCB is guaranteed to be authentic and traceable back to the original manufacturer. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask~
Please look at the pictures, too many explanations seem pale and ineffective.

You seem to be comparing cheap components from the grey market (which may be fakes) with components sourced from official distributors (which, in my understanding, is what JLCPCB offers in their Global Sourcing program). Of course the official components are more expensive, but I am happy to pay for that.
Also, for my current project I am specifically interested in having the boards populated by JLCPCB. I want to make more than one board and hand-placing everything is not an option.
It depends on everyone's choice,If you are familiar with the electronics industry and understand the market, this is very simple, efficient and cheap.
This is not a gray market cheap component, it is just an online sales platform for ordinary Chinese consumers, similar to "aliexpress".Normally, ordinary Chinese consumers will not shop on "aliexpress", we are more familiar with the "Taobao" shopping platform.
Of course there are cheap inferior products out there, but there are also cheap high quality ones, it all depends on your choice and experience.
In my opinion they are the same. For example,Since you choose a regular manufacturer, you have to pay extra for "3C certification".For individual users, it does not matter whether you have "3C certification" unless you plan to sell commercially. The same goes for "commodity inspection".
Sometimes it also depends on the quantity you produce. For example, if your quantity is too small, you will need to pay extra.

As a person who lived in the USSR, I am always surprised by the massive presence of fakes on the Chinese market.
In the USSR, this was a crime and was severely punished.
The Chinese say that when it's cheap, it's possible, choose for yourself.

Sometimes cheap items are not necessarily fake,Because it may be surplus goods。
In the end, you need to keep your eyes open and make a final choice through sharp thinking.
If you only focus on price, you will be easily deceived

But socialism and communism forbid cheating. And punishes.
I am sure socialism and communism have something to say about corruption as well, and about oligarchs fleecing the general population. Which is why none of that is happening in, say, Russia.
Do not compare USSR and Russia - they are different countries. Especially if you not lived in the USSR.
Modern Russia is no different from other countries. Only our corrupt officials and crooks have a smaller scope and do not know how to create global trends, they just steal.
But this is changing.
I just know the principles and the actual state in a socialist country and they do not correspond to what is observed in China.
And I understand that the Chinese won't talk about it.

By the way, China now has socialism with Chinese characteristics, which is different from traditional socialism.
Whether it is socialism or communism or capitalism.Fraud has nothing to do with the country,In my opinion, it is only related to personal or business operations.
"you get what you pay for"This is the most common truth
