Which binding posts did you go for? I’ve got the Nimolv and redtony ones on order

These https://market.m.taobao.com/app/idleFish-F2e/fish-pc/web/detail.html?id=674240096284 (link copied from Superbuy order)
Original link https://www.goofish.com/item?id=674240096284&categoryId=125958001
Qty 4 with "Regular hats" - no colour selection so I assume that we are buying sets with a red & black pair?

And qty 6 of the 0.8mm gold plated fork terminals - not sure if they are sold as singles or pairs per photos

Unfortunately Im pretty sure they are sold individually from what it said in the listing. For  even amounts he’ll send half red half black unless you leave a note. :-+ maybe I should add that to my list to avoid confusion.

That's fine and it makes sense now you mention it.
This is just for tinkering, no project in mind right now.

I will report back when Superbuy send me photos of what they receive.

So I should now be able to test his whole product range Im particularly excited for the 0ohm and the glazed ceramic binding post knobs ( I think that will prevent any potential for cracking like on pomonas)

This is the photo from Superbuy of the 4 x gold plated low thermal binding posts I linked above from seller bbs.1ppm.cn on goofish.

As suggested by PascalNE, I got 2 red and 2 black with regular "hats" as ordered.  They also included some bonus parts, what looks like the larger top "hats" in both red/black and beige/black pairs.

The two zero-ohm shorts also arrived, and they look just like the seller photos.  Some scratches, but gold plated.

Still waiting for the gold plated fork terminals to arrive.  I needed to pay an extra $0.15 in domestic shipping, so there was a delay in order processing.

Hi,
How do I order two of these?
You can use a site like CSSBUY or superbuy just copy and paste the URL into there https://www.cssbuy.com/ and they will order it for you.
Alternatively I would like to stock these in my shop but thats in a few months.

Added TB2 and TB3 binding posts in case anyone is interested in a more premium option. I know there is a group buy on the TBP3s so if anyone reviews that I can add that there :-+
I would be curious to test a tbp3 or tbp2 seeing as they are so much more expensive than even the other tellurium copper option.
I know they are more premium but the TBP3 is more than 10x more expensive than redtony's low thermal EMF binding post at 130Yuan to 12Yuan

Added a poll to gauge what people are interested in if I start a shop what should be stocked. If there's anything you think you'd want please vote for it so I know what will be popular. You can vote for as many items as you want.
Thanks everyone  :-+

Same goes for these, it's brass, with very flaky gold plating on top

As I think I said before I'll do (probably destructive) testing on all the products I've purchased to double check. :-+ But I have more trust in these small volume products made by known members of the chinese metrology community rather than no name stores on AliExpress.

stay away from the "Pure copper tube banana plugs" they are just brass copper plated
“铜” is not copper but copper alloy.
“纯铜” is not pure copper but none-magnetic copper alloy.
Copper is “紫铜” where 紫 is purple color.

Hello
Thanks for the chinese explanation
Another parameter to take in consideration is copper purity cheap copper is 99% but can be low as 90.... if that scrap copper not refining , normal electronic copper quality is 99.9%

Most of the sellers claim "pure copper" which  I think would imply some level of purity, I will ask redtony and "nimolv" for clarification so I can specify an exact kind.
Some of the products say they use  "C14500 tellurium copper" which has a minimum of 99.9% copper so they should be pure.

I fear I'll have to do some chemistry but is there an easy way to check the purity of copper? What about distinguishing copper vs tellurium copper?

Thanks,
Pascal.

Edit: I asked redtony and he told me it is "T2" copper which is 99.9% electrical grade copper.

Test their conductivity.
C14500 consist of 0.4% to 0.7% of Te but the conductivity is about 15% less than IACS which is the best copper.

Hello
Pure copper is rated at 99.99% that a incredible costly product .... and " pure copper" as commercial advertissemnt is a fake or a ... usual copper for electrical equipement is 99.9 % but some low cost equipement are made in 99% .

If you want to have an idea of refrence material check the company https://matthey.com/ beaware the price are $$$$$$

The question is what is needed and what is the gain generated as IF switch brass to copper is a real improvement , spend a lot of money for some 0.001% on an alloy is ridiculous

Te as alloy element is just for machining as pure copper is hell to machine

OS

Yes I think people often forget that electrically tellurium copper is inferior to normal copper. According to copper.org C14500 should have a conductivity of 93% IACS (although this seems to vary)
And the T2 copper used in bbs.1ppm.cn's products has a conductivity of 101% IACS I do wonder how his posts are made if machining would be so difficult.

As you say the gains are probable quite minimal but I'll test it anyway, finding the conductivity will be slightly trickier as they are not conductors with a uniform cross sectional area.

I was just thinking where to post my question. It seems this topic to be suitable enough, if not I will remove the message.

I know what Thermal EMF is. So far I am trying to find banana plugs from China (Aliexpress). And then having bought several I have huge doubts. The question is - is this a gold coating at all? Is this "gold" at all, or some kind of fake?

Definitely could be, you can't really trust anything Aliexpress sellers say the conducting metal also matters a lot. It's probably brass or maybe Iron if your unlucky. I think to distinguish between gold and Titanium nitride you can use certain acids but it's not really my area of expertise.

I almost sure now. Just brass coated/plated.
Just asked images.google.com for "brass coating" or "brass plated". Yes, some brass coating looks the same as gold.
I am 100% sure that there is no “gold” on Aliexpress banana connectors, of course, and never has been. The huge problem is that I can't even get normal banana plugs that I can trust. All this stuff from Aliexpress is behaving terribly.
