I haven't a need for something like this, however, over the years I thought it would be good to have a function generator that goes beyond the 20MHz one I have.

If I may make a few suggestions, how about a sweep function where you set the start/stop and maybe the time to sweep. Also, allow for setting amplitude in other units (possibly just a drop down menu and the math is done in the background).

As somebody who works in the satellite telecom industry, it looks like a very promising product.  We currently buy something similar to this to retrofit into old equipment which has failed analog LO generator segments. 

You ought to offer a basic open source 10MHz OCXO module in parallel so that people can purchase the complete solution from you.

Thanks for the comment. Yes we will add sweep feature but your offer having different amplitute for each freq point doe makes sente to me, if i understood correctly.

The sweep function may be a nice feature. I'd also include sweep time. The function generator I have will sweep from X to Y in Z seconds, but, one thing I dislike: it starts X to Y, and, when finishes, starts from X again. I'd like to see it go X to Y, Y to X, X to Y, etc...

As for "units", what I meant is: in order to enter amplitude, the units need to be in dBm (the image shows 15).

It may be a nice feature to have Vrms, Vp-p, etc...

This way instead of entering the value in dBm, the user can enter 1Vrms instead.

Also, I don't know if you will keep this open source, but maybe some users would be interested in purchasing one already built. Possibly consider selling them as a whole in the future.

Can it load user defined waves?

If it can, what is the format of the wave file and what kind of wave can be imported?

E.g. load some pre-defined waves captured from oscilloscope.

Very nice project. I think for many users an internal rudimentary sweep function and at least a  modulation input could help to broaden the application spectrum. I'm very interested in this topic because 3 years ago, I also developed and built an 18 GHz generator around Texas ICs like LMX2595.

Especially the integrated filter bank IC Atek 656N5 is highly interesting. Is this an MMIC or a hybrid? But also the other components from Atek Midas seem to be very attractive. Where can I buy these goodies? I havent't seen this at mouser or digi-key.

By the way, what board material are you going to use? For my project I took FR4 but this limits the distances between components drastically.

ATEK is an interesting company. Seems the filer bank is better spec’d than any of the Analog Devices similar part. Did not know Türkiye had that.
