I don't know, about exaggerated optimism on timelines, but we should arrest MUSK,  for DWST,  that's driving while supporting TRUMP.

How come I'm not viewing The Trump name waved around, here, every 10 seconds ?
Instead of using the surrogates, to smear, cheaply.  Some of those jokes are funny too.

What ever happened, to the BOXING MATCH bs flying ?   Was that Musk v. Biden or some shit ?

This is called surrogate bullying !

Maybe simply lazy,  and I will go search on the 'boxing match' thing.  I recall, maybe it's 3 years ago now,  that there was talk of a match-up along with various sarcastic commentary.   Best guess, it was to be Trump vs Biden but with some of the bluster that celebrity (real) boxers exude, like in a big build-up before a Mike Tyson match.   I'll do some checking (lazy, but shouldn't take long).

But as to the 'surrogate' thing,  that gets into behavior dynamics,  maybe 'projection' is the correct term.  That would be,  where there are issues, with one particular person,  but there is a natural tendency to wish to extend the animus, to a wider circle.
For example, if you don't like 'John Smith' (sorry, John),  but everyone also extends the criticism to his son.   Thus to issue some criticism, to the surrogates, a person gets some gratification, in a way, as if the verbal shit-stirring had been direct.
So any instance of the person's son being present there can be a temptation to lay out some criticism or sarcasm that often sounds exactly as if directed towards John Smith.

Maybe the term I'm searching for is a 're-directed' criticism.    I mean, in this case here, I do see the valid criticism, that Musk maybe inflates the project advantages, and downplays the project schedule delays.
That can appear to possibly not be a stand-alone perception, but rather, it leaves (an observer) wondering if there is a wish to lay guilty by association.   Maybe not happening that way, in a particular instance, but after so many times, one begins to wonder, if some current, quickly issued snark (criticism) is a guilty by association thing....due to association with 'John Smith',  who you, openly dislike.

That why I feel to issue the challenge, to just name 'John Smith' and quit the indirect, unclear use of some surrogate that associates with Mr. Smith.

Sometimes, in the workplace, folks wish to avoid trashing the boss, in the open.  That's a natural protective behaviour.  But,  they often manage to express themselves, by way of some substitute 'target'.

Looks like Pres. Trump made the suggestion of a match-up with Biden.  That lingered in the news for a month or two,  as a naturally funny, (and absurd) impossibility.

Musk challenged Mark Zuckerberg (of Facebook) to a cage fight. Eventually Zuckerberg called it off because Musk clearly wasn't serious and he, Zuck, considered it a waste of his, Zuck's, time. The entire thing came about due to Musk's very thin skin and involved a Facebook satellite being rapidly dismantled aboard a SpaceX rocket.

I'm not fond of DJ Trump, but my opinions of Elon are not based on his later day excursion into Trumpomania, I thought he was a twat years ago!
As I am ancient, I have seen many celebrated "captains of industry" come & go, each leaving hardly an eddy behind them, so my default reading of them is as twats, & I have seldom been wrong.

As to the fight, it was a proposed."cage fight" between Musk & Zuckerberg.
It never eventuated, of course, but was good publicity for both "persons of high ego", while it lasted.

Now, if you can excuse me, I have some clouds to yell at!

OK, I'll try and remember that, going forward,  as it isn't everybody that does the pile-on (to try to smear Musk, as an ally of a much hated leader.   Or, that is,  seemingly much-hated.)

Trump can be a dork, sure,  but often, here in the U.S. it's the low information 'voter' that often repeats things from talk shows,  and with a gossipy tone, that sounds so cheap...(although how that gets through solely from text I don't know).
UK followers of daily News reportedly are getting more U.S. news and emerging trends.
Locally,  we have a newscaster, Rachael Maddow, who has gone national...one of the more sarcastic (and gossipy), one that I'm not proud of.

I don't know who is more deranged at this moment: Musk or Thunderf00t. They could be asylum buddies in the near future.

The first two minutes showing other people's memes about Elon were quite entertaining, but I don't know who on earth is masochistic enough to suffer this guy's ramblings. Please tell me than nobody ever watches those videos to the end :scared:

Personally, I think sieg heiling in public and still being cheered by Netanyahu and ADL is cooler than anything thunderf00t could ever achieve. He's just jelly.

It's not even remotely close to how actual Nazi salute gesture looks like though. One must be either deranged, dishonest, have a single brain cell, or all combined to seriously claim or believe that. Video for reference:

The precise biomechanics of the gesture is irrelevant.  The symbolism of what the gesture (or crude imitation thereof) represents is what matters.

Of course, symbolism is in the eye of the beholder and cannot be quantified as precisely as, say, a ±5% tolerance resistor.

I'm not a church goer but I imagine the choir hears the entire sermon each Sunday.

Also I don't watch Tenderfoot at all. It is not so much that I am uninterested in being force fed someone else views, it is that I think he says it for the money and he has chosen the most gullible audience. i.e. The zealot unwilling to form their own thoughts.

lmfao this started with uwe boll, director of masterpiece cinema like blood rayne, where he challenged the director of a internet forum to a boxing match

This guy is a class act, I heard he hired prostitutes to go on set for those films

Trump is standing on the shoulders of giants.

I have a feeling that if someone sat through his life work, suddenly everything on netflix would get 10/10, after they graduated from AA. I imagine people writing positive reviews for that were drinking ever clear out of a bottle and are in the phase where vision became coherent after they leaped into a wall for fun and later vomited on the floor.

I heard there is cut content from this scene (too graphic for TV) where they depict a typical puwe boll film being watched

Plenty of other well known people and politicians have made a similar gesture (I can't be bothered to find the images, there are plenty on X) but they haven't been picked up on, until now, because they are not such controversial characters as Musk.

People who have Musk derangement syndrome are pre-programmed to see extreme right wing gestures/tropes/meaning in anything Musk does or says.

I dunno, but he is a troll and shit stirrer sometimes, so it wouldn't be entirely out of character for him to do it deliberately knowing that many Americans have a pavlovian response to bark at anything reminding them of that German chancellor. And the response is exactly like one could expect.

One of Musk's buddies has made his whole recent career by "triggering the libs" for attention and even became a president...

Now that the precedent has been set, it looks like every week there is a new US millionaire "coming out" as an edgelord. At this pace, this is set to become the Next Big Thing after Queer™ goes out of fashion and everybody will be doing it until it becomes so routine and uncool that Stalinist political correctness with literal Alaskan gulags takes its place.

What i see is him tapping his chest near the heart and sort of "tossing" it out in the audience, which i assume is some sort of weird "my heart goes out to you" symbol.
Feels like i might have seen it elsewhere but i can't remember.

He literally said that 3 seconds after. But that's not what the brainwashing machine will show you.
Only people would believe it who never actually seen a salute on TV history channel.

Erh, normal people have a mental filter that prevent them from making gestures like that. I'm inclined to believe he didn't mean it as a Nazi salute but the absence of such a filter is bad enough on its own...

It's about as Nazi salute as you'd be ok with using -90% +500% resistors  :palm:

Somehow it's not a problem when democrats hold their hand at such angle. Not to say elon moved his hand almost sideways, not in front of him. Start position was nothing alike, movement was nothing alike, final position of his hand was nothing alike.

Well, given Elon's support for the German neo-nazi party AfD his salute is likely intended as a nazi salute. Just a clumsy or a deliberately somewhat skewed one. If it walks & talks like a duck, it is a duck.
