Digital Interface
« on: May 11, 2025, 05:23:06 pm »
Hi

I have a logic circuit that requires an interface. The interface needs to be capable of accepting a sine, square, pulse, triangle, ramp or sawtooth wave with a voltage range of 0 to 25 volts at anywhere from 1 Hz to 60 MHz. The output side of the interface must be a 0 to 5 volt squarewave at the same frequency as the input signal. At the same time, the interface must be able to protect the circuit from over-voltages and negative voltages.

Can anyone provide a circuit schematic for such a circuit?

Thanks

Is this coursework and/or homework? If so, it is polite to state that.

If not, then more information would be beneficial, e.g. purpose, EMI/EMC constraints, allowable jitter, etc.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Yeah, that is a good way to start to get a community to help you.  :palm:

What is wrong with you people. tggzzz just asked for more information and this is what he gets.

For the community additional information is needed to provide a proper answer to this question of yours. If it where homework a more simplified circuit would suffice. For something that is going to be sold into either a home market or a professional one, there are standards to adhere to.

But in this case my answer is, go and try chatgpt or grok. Maybe it will provide you with something you can use.

With such an answer to a reasonable assumption / question I'm out.

My suggestion is you work a bit on your social skills first.

Way to go, Simon!
No one needs this kind of behaviour. I had the impression that Canadians are polite.

Mensch ist mensch, the whole world over.

Canadians typically are nice, but displaying a Canadian flag doesn't mean he is Canadian. False flags are common on the forum; some uses are valid, but...

Yea, given the disposable nature of the email address I would not put any money on their location flag.

He asked politely for you to clarify.
