I can't seem to find a link to a full size SD card extender that uses a push-push to insert and eject the SD card, All I can see is regular push-pull style. Any links?

This eBay seller confirmed this one is indeed a push-push type, We're getting somewhere.

What I'm trying to do is replace an internal 320GB SATA HDD with a SD card slot because the recorder has only firewire to access the recordings, With SD card I just record into the SD car and transfer the recordings to a modern computer that doesn't have firewire. My next big question is, what kind of SD to SATA adapter should I get for a maximum capacity?

I know for sure they don't make SD to SATA adapters with a ribbon cable soldered to the PCB and the other end is a SD card slot, That would be too custom, I'm fine with the above SD slot extender.

I've seen laptops with a push in, push out full size SD slot.

What that has to do with this topic?

...
An SD card and SATA are COMPLETELY different things. Firstly, SATA is MUCH faster. The recorder may simply refuse to operate at SD card speeds.

This is also a non-trivial beast. A bunch of wires just isn't enough.
It's much easier to buy a different recorder.

Nah, it has been done before with no problems, I can't buy another recorder, This is the one that I bought specifically for this task to transfer DV/HDV/DVCPro tapes, Before I do this with a computer that runs Wind7 and firewire port but but it's dying and I have to move to a modern solution, Lets just stay on topic which is the conversion from SATA to SD card.

You expect people to drop what they're doing and sort out your problem for you within 7 hours? Would you do the same for everyone else on this forum?

Every thread has whiny little bitches, This is a public forum for anyone seeking the same thing, When information is gathered it becomes public, the more information the better, down the road some links may go dead, Where the hell did I say I need an urgent service? I said I could not find clear information about this type of device, Hence asking here knowledgeable people who use this stuff daily, not the whiny bitches like you.

Anything that supports SDUC, although those are probably still quite rare and SDXC (2TB max) may be all you can find.

Have you considered a SD to SATA adapter that happens to fit where you want the SD slot and extending the SATA connection if needed?

I have, I figured mounting an SD card slot is a lot easier than mounting a bigger board, Also a ribbon cable is a lot easier to route than a bulky SATA and power cables, But thanks for the thought, It is still potentially considered, I will make that decision when I get the recorder and take it apart.

When you assumed after 7 hours that no answer = doesn't exist rather than maybe, just maybe that wasn't enough time for people to have looked at it yet, timezones exist, etc...

No replies tells me such adapter doesn't exist.

You concluded there was no such adapter because no-one had replied after 7 hours. When someone suggested that was an unreasonably short period, you said:

Every thread has whiny little bitches......

You are rude and a bully. I would be delighted if you fucked off this forum and didn’t come back.

Relax. Everyone is entitled to their comments just as much as you are. I'd suggest your comments above are uncalled for and are also needlessly filling the forum with "garbage". If you have a personal dispute with someone, feel free to take it up with them privately. Everyone else doesn't need to be dragged into it.

They started the insults, not me, I got my answer way before anyone posted, I just kept feeding the thread with information in case someone else bumped into it later on, Thanks for chiming in, feel free to delete all the garbage posts, Lets carry on.
