Identify component value
« on: December 04, 2024, 10:20:53 am »
Hi all, I have a projector that blew its lamp and also the internal fuse and a capacitor. The fuse I can change easy enough, but the cap has one side of it exposed, which happens to be the side where the values were written.

My component tester and DER5000 both tell be it's around 400pF, but I don't know if I can trust these values given some of it is missing. It was placed across an n-channel mosfet and it's around 5-6mm in diameter. I've gone to the manufacturer of the projector just on the off chance they would tell me what this ought to be, but they're coming back with excuses claiming confidentially, blah, blah, blah.

I know it's a long shot, but does 400pF look reasnoble for this? not sure of the voltage rating either.
