Odd flat flex cable pitch

Hi,
just salvaged maybe 20 character LCDs from the e-waste here at work, some old ericsson office telephones. The connector cable is a flat flex cable with 12 pins. The two outer most pins measure 11mm center to center (or left side to left side, in the picture). So the pitch is 0.916mm, or 0.036 inches. Can't seem to find a matching cable or connector anywhere. Have you seen this dimension before?

12 pins, means 11 intervals between them. You're measuring 10.99, which should be 11.0
The inter-pin spacing is 1.0 mm
