Socket pins
« on: August 25, 2015, 05:45:09 pm »
I'm looking for something, and can't find it.

It's a machine-pin socket strip, female on top and round pins on the bottom. It accepts .025" square pins on the female socket header part, up to a .2" depth or so.

Has anyone any idea what these pin strips are called and how to find more? My searches always yield the expected socket strips that accept IC pins, but not .025" square (wirewrap) pins.

Any thoughts about where to look?

Keystone makes things like that.  Most of the big distributors carry the brand.  You'll have to check to see if they have that item.

Lots of folks make sockets. I'm looking for a female machine-pin socket strip that would accept a .025"square pin..   :(

Thanks to everyone for help. The Mill-Max is an appropriate choice, but very expensive.
Whatever we used to buy was much less expensive, but I just can't identify it.

The new Rohs compliant Mill Max are more expensive than the old non-Rohs millmax.
3x more expensive on one particular model I'm using.
