Replacing board mounted USB B mini connectors with USB C

Has anyone have any luck finding pin compatible USB C connectors that can be used to replace USB B mini connectors?

Maybe could epoxy a break out module to the pcb, not a great option though.

It is not  even theoretically possible to make a generic replacement that needs data transfer. Assuming only one device role and no OTG support, it would be possible, but there is no chance anyone would make anything like this. Especially for this relatively rare through hole package.

And even with the linked connectors you would still need CCx resistors, which makes the whole thing messy.
