Which software for CH341A Mini programmer?
« on: March 26, 2020, 12:09:59 pm »
I 'm referring to this programmer.

956872-0

I tried:
1. This.

2. This.

And a few others. All of them are infected by viruses, trojans, adwares and who knows what else.

The cleaner of all is the #1, here is the result from VirusTotal:
956876-1

So how will I know if it 's a false detection or it is really infected?
Does anybody have a really clean software for this programmer?

I have tried now the "CH341A programm v1.34.rar" file with Norton Security and Malwarebytes 4.1.0: no positives.
You do well to check because it is always better prevent than cure, but sometimes antiviruses can find false positives too.

The only antivirus program that detects it is the 'CAT-QuickHeal antivirus'.

This is for Linux. (It's supposed to have binaries for Windows but the related links are dead)
(also it offers the option of compiling from source but this is a too long process)
I 'm looking something for Win 7 32bit.

I have been using this for the last 5 years with XP with no noticeable problems.
I got a virus warning as soon as I opened it on a Windows 10 PC.
Try at your own risk. Ill remove it if anyone thinks that I should.
