I recently wrote (yet) another online generator based on your feedbacks and comments on this thread, mine is open source so you are free to contribute with more models. Here's the link: https://github.com/iu2frl/rs-license-generator

I used it to activate all options on my SMIQ03B, I was just wondering how to use the 802.11a and 802.11b functionalities, they are listed as activated on the device but I can't find the corresponding menu nor any explanation in the user manual

you need SMIQ-B60 Arbitrary Waveform Generator, then MENU → DIGITAL MOD → ARB → WinIQSIM

I think you are talking here about option SMIQK19. Any SMIQ options with the letter "K" in them (SMIQK11 through SMIQK20) refer to waveform playback in combination with the WinIQSIM software (the original one, WinIQSIM2 will not do...)

True... SMIQ-B60 itself is also a software-activated option. But you will also need some hardware. More specifically, you will need the SMNIQ B11 ("Data Generator") card installed. It comes with a modest 16Mbit (2MB) amount of memory for waveform playback, and you can add option B12 to add 32Mbit additional memory, or twice B12 to add 64Mbit additional memory.

If you have B60, then the good news is that it is actually quite possible to get it working! I show that in the below video. Also, the modest memory in the SMIQ allows you to play back much 'larger' wave files than you might expect, due to some clever design. Also talk about that in the video.

Good luck!
Rudi

Today I completed a significant portion of the reverse engineering on the CMU200 firmware, I was able to understand how the FPGA DRAM is mapped, how the I2C bitbanging is used and the timings and bits of the COR mailbox. It took me about a week but I could write a cpp app to drive the RF1 output to any frequency and level within the board range. Next step is to complete the work on the analyzer side which is now reporting data only after a warm boot, as if I missed some initialization step when booting straight from CF card.
But hey, great success for today, I am one step closer to a custom firmware to use the CMU200 as analyzer with tracking generator

Congratulations! That keyboard tool looks really nice. May I ask how you managed to purchase it?

It's just a wireless usb keyboard from Amazon, it connects via an usb wireless transceiver on the back of the device.
Interestingly enough the keys of the front panel on the CMU are just registered as normal keystrokes, so you can actually type with those

Hi!

I have the keygen ready for the EB200 and verified all three options against my own unit. So may be you want to integrate that into your online version?
Any interest in that? It is not on github yet but I can put it there tonight.

I received several private messages here, but why can't I reply to them? Maybe it's because my account is a newly registered account.
Thanks.
