-> Fnirsi, are you selling us a beta product?

Error’s in 2.0.0.7 so far:
- signal generator bad ( sinus 10khz, 0.1V not useable, square 10mhz, 3V no square at all)
- Forced bandwidth limit on signals below 4.2mhz
- Memory depth of 1M sample is a joke!
- Wrong calculation in maths (see below)

New found error:
When using the maths function with multiple on both channels, the result is wrong! Ch1 is erroneously inverted. See screenshot below.

It is not beta, it unfortunately represents typical finished quality of Fnirsi products. This is why I'm not holding out for a firmware update that fixes any of this. It is more likely you will see the news of them releasing a new device rather than fix this one.

Yeah, I know. But if more and more people telling Fnirsi and other people of what’s wrong, the may listen in the future.

I really wanted this scope. Perfect for my hobbyist use case.

Unfortunately the firmware issues are a dealbreaker for me.

DDS button seems to be always lit green, and this is the most pointless feature of the device, so I removed resistors from the LEDs while I was there.
Sorry, but why "remove the resistors from the LEDs" when the built-in signal generator is turned off with the "Run/Stop" button and this LED goes out?

Because it was not obvious how to disable it. I expected it to work the same way as scope channels are enabled/disabled - by pressing corresponding physical button, not some random touch button.

If they actually address the firmware bugs, I'll put them back. They would have to go anyway, since I hate how bright those buttons are and made other buttons way dimmer.

Do you have a signal generator that outputs 10 MHz of rectangular pulses (in my copy, which was received only yesterday, you cannot set more than 2 MHz (except for a sinusoidal one, for which you can set 10 MHz))? Firmware: also 2.0.0.7. (in 2C53P, according to the instructions, there was also a 2 MHz limit for all signals except sinusoidal, but it was possible to turn on all signals at 10 MHz). It's strange, where does this limitation of functions come from?!
And the multimeter here is better than in Fnirsi 2C53P (I will add that in Hantek TO1152D the multimeter is even worse, but the signal generator there is better). You wrote: "The only other holes are those tiny ones under the battery."
In my copy, there are holes for hot air outlet in the back panel - under the folding legs.

Not all fnirsi are bad. For example, the DPOX180H and DPOS350P are quite suitable devices. But the 2D15P was very disappointing.

Not one, they all have flaws.
FNIRSI 1013D Always provide a picture or video with the problem where the parameters of the oscilloscope are visible, and a picture of the diagnostic screen with the values.
Firmware is here (or not) https://github.com/Atlan4/Fnirsi1013D/tree/main/Guide%20to%20firmware

> you would expect the trace to remain on the screen until the next trigger.

You would expect this for a Digital Storage Oscilloscope specifically, but not generally for all oscilloscopes. This model is advertised as a Phosphor Oscilloscope, and the legacy scopes of this type behaved exactly as you described this one behaves. The phosphor would keep the trace visible for a short time, and then fade away. It seems, this is what the designers were trying o imitate. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with this, although for a general-purpose modern scope it would be nice if one was able to choose other behaviours, including the one you seem to prefer.

But this is the deficiency of the old technology. There is no scenario where you actually want it to behave like this.

I'm not trying to attack anyone , or say that they are lying in their reviews
But I see that this guy posts a lot about Chinese test equipment
How accurate are his reviews , are they reputable ?
Because there are some products that I'm thinking to buy based on his review

I've watched quite a few of his reviews. There are some reviews where he clearly does not recommend a product because it has issues.

He also does not apply the same yardstick to a $150 scope, like the 2D15P, as to a $1500 scope. I like the factual, down-to-earth way he judges devices and their features. There are others who label everything "junk" if it is not top of the line. After all, we have a limited amount of money to spend, and the main question is if the product can do what we need it to.

For example, the 2D15P signal generator is missing an attenuator and just emits smaller signals through the digital/analog converter. So the signal quality for small signals suffers. For most this is a nonissue or can be circumvented by using an external attenuator. I can live with it just fine.

IMHO, battery life in Power OFF state is too short.
About month or so.
Does anybody meet the problem?

I have had mine for two weeks or so and cannot really say. But 1 month feels shorter than mine. It has certainly been 10 days since I've charged mine, and I did use it a couple of times, and the battery shows 3/4 full now.

The following is just my opinion:

I think this is another case of people expecting a silk purse for the cost of a pig's ear.

Seriously, if you want a scope that performs like a $1500 scope, you going to need to buy a $1500 scope.  However, If you do, do not expect to to be bug free.  There is no such thing.

I've seen this on AliExpress for $140 US including shipping to Canada.  Take off $20 for the shipping, and that's a $120.  If we assign $30 each to the DMM and SG, that leaves $60 worth of oscilloscope.  That put's it squarely in the "toy " category.  From what I've read here and seen on YT, it looks like a pretty useful toy at that.

$60 can only buy "mediocre" at best.  Set your expectations accordingly.

BTW, it seems a damn sight better than the 1013D!  HAs anyone bothered to test the bandwidth on this one?

This is a change list for v1.2.0.6, which is the first update released.

The v2.6.0.7 seems to fix only one minor cursor bug. This is a huge jump in version for a small update. But may be change log is not complete.

They certainly have not fixed annoying scope behavior.
