No electrons to filter and it's 10 times faster. 

Can't get any LXI stuff that's man enough to use it though, so I have to stick to old fashioned electrons for that stuff.

   Saw this on the way to the UPS drop off point this morning. This is probably the crappest bodge I have ever seen of any kind 

Probably to keep the tyre from hurling rocks & mud up on the back of the headlight cell, cracking the hot bulb. Either that, or local vehicle safety laws against having any hole in the body larger than x . When I lived in Pittsburgh they had such "body shop" laws; ostensibly to keep the vehicle from being able to draft exhaust fumes into the passenger compartment. 

That spray foam insulation is magic shit man... the smashed corner inside Franken-Cruiser is watertight thanks to the stuff, and a youngster mnem drove a Beetle through one winter that was easily 20% foam by volume.  Still froze my ass off, but at least I stayed dry.

Here in Blono there are FREE chargers all over.  Walmart just installed pay chargers. Maybe they didn't understand our EV Town situation. 48% here are free.

Well there are Level 1 and Level 2 chargers all over and a few Level 3s.  I personally do not know where all the good chargers are. But the ones at my old job were fairly quick.  Rivian has taken over that factory.

You can do the same sort of thing to electric cars. Just attach a generator to an axle and it will re-charge the battery while you are driving. 

I think you're running foul of thermodynamics there. However, if you installed a couple of small children in the back with a pedal generator...

That's terribly inefficient as you have to feed the buggers and stop to empty them every two minutes

Erm, I kinda got that. I'm a little worried that you don't get that I knew it was a joke from my, obviously joking, suggestion of using child labour.

Is there something you need to tell us about? A sweatshop in your garage? Six year olds hand soldering 0602 passives to your production boards (small hands, great eyesight)? Your chimney cleaning business?

How long does it take for a package to go 100 miles? If you're USPS apparently a very long time.

The 1A2 plug-in zipped cross country via ground in about 3.5 days. Got to USPS distribution center on Saturday in Springfield, Masshole. About 100 miles away. According to the tracking left there yesterday. Did not arrive at my local PO early this morning and as per tracking still hasn't arrived. Not the first time a package has gone to that center and went into slo-mo. If it had gone to the Albany center I would have had it today.

Forget 6 year olds as a vehicle power source. They don't get the range, the horse power is pretty lame and as far as torque is concerned, the car better be empty!

Nothing bugs me more than buying some piece of surplus equipment with stickers and labels all over it. It seems that the previous owner or seller tries to put the stickers in the worst places, sometimes right over the displays. Trying to get them off is a pain and involves some sort of scrapping with a thumbnail or wooden tongue depressor along with some white gas/camping fuel and paper towels.

I went shopping with my wife to a kitchen supply store and found what I think will solve the problem for about $4. It is a nylon scraper that I hope won't mar the surface but I haven't tried it yet. It looked like it was worth a try. Hopefully it will save my MANicure!
