Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored on EEVBlogs own secure dedicated servers, currently at a large server provider in the United States. Only EEVblog staff and our IT service engineer(s) have access to these servers. All reasonable measures and best practice security is employed to keep this data secure.
The data is also backed up by our contracted IT service provider who uses best security practices and tools to keep this data secure.
Logging practices
EEVblog automatically records the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of visitors and forum members. The IP address is a unique number assigned to every computer on the internet.
We keep track of login dates and times visited on EEVblog forum. We do not track search requests. EEVblog uses this information internally only for purposes of forum moderation. e.g. to discover sockpuppet account, spam, and illegal activity.
EEVblog also captures and stores information that you transmit through the use of Google Analytics. This may include:
Browser/Device type/version, Operating system, and device used.
External links behavior
Some of EEVblog websites link to other sites created and maintained by other public- and/or private-sector organizations. EEVblog provides these links solely for your information and convenience.
