The UT171 series is not officially released yet. I've been keeping an eye on this one very closely too
Thanks for clarifying that.
I don't suppose you have any indicative release date as I could be willing to wait?
I don't have a release date but my understanding is that it shouldn't be too far away now.
Hey Frankie, my partner got her stuff today and just wanted to leave some feedback, she said shipping was super quick, it was all excellently packaged, your bubble wrap was good and she'd be happy to deal with you again, very pleased.
Thats all, thanks.
Thanks for letting me know
It did take a bit longer than I originally thought for me to complete the shopping and I hope she didn't mind. It wasn't something I was familiar with and the shop was in an area I don't frequently go to. I'm glad it all worked out fine. Will be happy to help again if she needs anything else in the future.
Hey Franky, Payment sent for Brymen BM869, please check it out.
Thanks/ SPRX
Franky, Haven't seen any progress on the item tracking moving since 03rd Sep.
Is it normal, or need some attention to see what is going on...

Responded thru PM. Please check.
Hi Franky
Received the SMD vacuum pump today. Very speedy turnaround as usual.
Cheers.
Nick
I got mine two days ago, they have 2 each of 3mm, 5mm, and 7mm cups if I recall correctly, one of the large ones look a bit eaten up but I have no use for such a large cup.
The 3mm works fine for TQFPs and QFNs didn't try the 5mm one yet.
I was hoping the will handle 0805 caps but I have tweezers for those unless I can find a 1mm diameter cup.
Btw it works fine and doesn't require too much pressure, since you pretty much have to be holding it and let go to suck the part and just press a little to release it.
It doesn't hold it for a long time but it's not like it looses vacuum so fast that you have to rush.
Got my Ut139C today. It took less than a week from the time I ordered for it to be delivered to me in Seattle. The packaging did its job. It's nice that the retail box is good and stout. It doesn't look like the shipping gorillas tried to crush it, but it could clearly protect the instrument from some abuse in shipping.
Thanks!
Received a nice package of excellent DC silicon cables clips etc, very quickly to Australia, thanks Frankie, regards Rob
Just a quick note to say a big thank to Franky: received my BM257 today (plus some other misc stuff like clips, cables, etc) and I really like it
Packaging was simple but effective.
If there are other Italian buyers on the forum this is what you can expect in terms of shipping times using standard shipping (only 3,90$ more for the whole package!!!):
Order placed: 3/9
Shipped: 4/9
Left HK: 6/9
Arrived in Trieste: 17/9
Franky.... thanks again!
Che era una barca veloce!
Thanks a lot for the feedback guys! It's very helpful to know how long it take for each shipment

FYI: Your eBay-offers still don´t appear in Germany (e.g. searching for Brymen BM869 worldwide).
At least, your eBay-store is meanwhile visible via the link in your signature.
[...]
Yes, I am aware of that. But until a couple of months ago even the direct link to my eBay store did not work. People in Germany/Austria/Switzerland could not see anything in my store, at all. I believe my items will only appear in the German search result when I achieve the top rated status in your market, which is unlikely to happen any time soon now
It happens again...
Digging for some stuff to buy, but then:
The eBay-Store shows "0 Items".
Greetings,
Hartmut

Isn't Franky just on Holiday or something? Because the Dutch version shows 0 items (+ This Store seller is currently away.). And it never had any problems, unlike the German one.
Yes, sorry guys, I am travelling again with the family and will return on 11th Oct.

Last time there was this message, too. But the items were still visible!
Now there is nothing. In no way. Not even the items I had bought 4 month ago.

First things first: Happy vacation. There is no reason for a "sorry".
I am curious, if the behavior of the eBay-store will change after your return. I hope so.
Or it is just like it was in the past...
Greetings,
Hartmut
I have a feeling the vacation is not exactly planned. Have you not noticed any news about HK recently.
It is a national holiday in China.

Franky is in HK, where they are having massive protests and disruptions.

It was actually planned. We just didn't expect what is happening right now started right on the day we left

Yes, 1st Oct is a holiday in Hong Kong as well, but only for 1 day, as oppose to the 3 days or so in mainland China.

I certainly hope eBay don't mess with things again
It's a constant struggle trying to get consistent exposure to different markets it seems...
I bought the Yihua 995D+ soldering station from Franky.
I have in fact also going to start selling a new Yihua 2-in-1 rework station: http://www.yihua-gz.com/Products_detail.asp?id=460&sortid=271 More details to follow in a future post.
The blue display is very nice. The soldering iron itself is quite lightweight and handy, compared to my old one and uses the standard Hakko tips. The heat-up time is fast. There is also a sleep mode and three memory buttons. The small footprint also saves some space on a small bench.
The price and delivery was very good, and I also got some extra soldering tips.
His customer support is excellent too. I had a fault after some weeks and he sent me a replacement instantly! This high level of customer support is extraordinary.
I’m very happy with this purchase!
Hi! First of all, thank you Franky for the fantastic service!
I recently bought some of these grippers:

I'm having a bit of trouble soldering 14 awg silicone wire to them. When I have soldered the wire to the hook it's not possible to put the cap back on. It feels like the wire and joint simply isn't flexible enough to make it work. Any tips or should I just go for a higher gauge wire?
Why on earth would you be trying to put 14AWG in those?!
Convenience. It's what I have laying around and use for most of my other test leads. The ebay listing states that you can use down to 13 awg btw.
I'm sure there is an AWG13 cable with isolation thin enough to fit it to the hook and there's also a way to make it stick. Nonetheless it's unwise to operate at values with the words "up to" in front.

I think the best option would be to use thinner wire such as the 16AWG ones in my shop, which is what's being used in most of the pre-assembled leads such as these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20cm-Silicone-Leads-with-2mm-Gold-Plated-Sockets-and-Mini-Grabber-Hooks-Pair-/171085144334It is going to be very tricky to solder 13 or 14AWG on these and you probably have to bend the solder joint at the correct angle to make it work. I have now modified the description of the item to remove the mention of 13AWG completely and added "16AWG recommended"). My apologies for the somewhat misleading description before. I can send you some 16AWG wires for free to make up for that. Let me know.
