Is this a 40 lb cat???   He looks ginormous in this photo!

Nope! He weighs 10 lbs. Internet says they should weigh ... 10 lbs.

He must be stuffed with fluff, like Winnie the Pooh.  He's what, about 6 hands?  That's how the measure the height of horses, "hands".

Christmas trees and cats, dogs, and rugrats are not a problem, people!

Just use strong fishing line, a hook in the ceiling, and hang the tree.

This is how we always did it in my childhood home.  It would have had zero chances of staying upright otherwise.

Because of me and my three brothers.  We climbed everything, including the walls.  (Horizontal spruce paneling in certain rooms, and traditional vertical wood siding on the house.)

I have been told the genesis was one Christmas before my own birth, and the sixth tipover by a turbo-crawling rugrat, that clued my dad into using a length of salmon fishing line and a hook in the ceiling.  In fact, it makes everything so much easier, the tradition continued ever since, even after tree-tipping was no longer an issue.

Our "Tiger" is 10 years old today.
She has slowed down a little but still likes to hunt for mice and birds in the garden.

Emmy, my sometimes assistant and the boys who are just a bit over a year old now.  They're 6.6kg, 6.4kg and 5.6kg (that's 14.5, 14.25 and 12.5 pounds)  Hopefully, they're at their adult size and weight.

How about a cat and three prairie dogs?

I never named her; I just called her "Kitty". Nothing is wrong with her eye.  :o It's a weird camera artifact.

My girl, Lilly. RIP.  :-[

Charlie at the top and Jasmine at the bottom. I had to rehome them for work. I miss them terribly!  :-[

I call her Squirt. She was abandoned at a gas station at about 8 weeks old and emaciated. Now she’s 8 pounds soaking wet, turning 8 years old in February.

Not a remarkable picture, but we nearly lost her this week to an apparent reaction to a rabies vaccination. Four days of taking no food or water necessitated daily trips (which just compounded the stress) to the vet for IV fluids. Finally yesterday morning she bounced back, attacking her food and playful again. She was exhausted from the experience in this picture from last night but back to her normal self.

Boomer is now 4.8 kg/10.5 pounds. 8 months old tomorrow.
I know cats like small spaces, but sheesh, this box is 23x16cm (9x6 inches).

What happens when I get up from my chair for more coffee ... I lose the chair.  ::)

I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Napping or not, always keep one paw on your mouse.

Napping or not, always keep one paw on your mouse.
I wonder if he does that just because he's seen you do it, or because he thinks the mouse sometimes moves on its own when you have your hand on it, and hopes to play with it?

Pretty smart, anyway.
