I'll see what he does, but I'm more annoyed about the lie about these no longer being made.

I'm going to say I've spoken to Keithley and they have lots of stock, so do RS, Farnell,  E13 and TopLoser has a few under his bench. So they can supply it from either of the above lol.

It's funny how they say "We wanted to reach out to you to help you understand why" but don't give a proper explanation other then "this technical issue" 

I replied to their bollock mail about being discontinued (I can't stand lies, just admit the mistake and all is good.....)

At first I thought you might have had a problem with a eBay-bot going rogue and listing stuff at very good deals. But thank you for confirming it was just a “slow seller” thus confirming it was a valid offer.
Keithley still produces the power supply, it is not discontinued and major suppliers such as Farnell and RS still supply it, and worldwide availability is just fine. So I would like to know when I can expect my power supply.

Ps: I won’t click on any links outside of eBay as this voids eBay regulations.

What technical issue? They wrote that they wanted to reach out to you to help you understand why your order has been cancelled. But doesn't actually give any reason.

My order was placed on November 12th (my time), because I'm several hours behind Australia, does this mean my order won't be cancelled?

I sent them back listings for the PSU (new in stock) and told them if they care to discuss anything other than sending my power supplies, they would have to take it up with eBay....they are actually blowing it and might legally have to answer for the lies in their messages to us.  Why not just say their bot went crazy, and they don't employ humans and they are very sorry for all of the above.

If I thought it was worth the time there might actually be some legal recourse here, to get them to honor the binding sales contract.  The are perpetrating a fraud with their responses to this fiasco. 

If everyone just ignores the direct solicited email (against ebay policy) and forces them to send a cancellation request, via ebay.....then denies the request....we might be able to get at least one more bot blocked from eBay...

I somehow doubt eBay cares at all and will support the seller here, but who knows.....the situation went from slightly humorous to anger (on my end) as soon as they sent the unsolicited private email, lying about the unit being discontinued

Aaaand, I finally received the "courtesy" style message. (Ie, not the one with the lies and links.) I ordered the 20V version. Could it be that people who ordered the 20V and 30V units are getting different messages?

I got the same two messages as well. If it's discontinued, why is it still listed (now at 9000 AUD)?

Regardless of all the commotion here, they actually get to benefit from that mistake, because whatever price they put in there, it will still say 60 sold, making the asking price seem more legit for someone who doesn't know better.

It looks like a classic bait and switch. Still, I want my 60+ bucks back asap, to be honest. Looks like I'll have to open a dispute with EBay like everyone else. Last time it happened years ago, they only refunded me about 40% of what I was scammed out of. They are supposedly much better about buyer protection these days. Anyone knows what is the waiting time for submitting claims? It would have to be at least a week.

Just got another email from them but this time directly to my email address and not through ebay.  They gave me a bullshit reply stating they are out of stock and the item is no longer manufactured. Asking if I wanted to be placed on backorder and give me a 10% discount?  hmmm  Yah sure.  At the same time they relisted the item for $9000AU.  Well these guys are a bunch of scammers it seems.  They might as well just mail out that brick in the box while they are at it.

Everyone who received the mail about it being no longer manufactured should just reply it is still very much being made and in stock worldwide, and they are happy to hear the price was right and it was just a low inventory, and are looking forward to receiving their PSU.

Yes actually I received that first email and replied through ebay. I asked them to honor their ebay contract with me.  As soon as I hit send it seemed they programmed their f-up bot to immediately send out that 2nd bullshit email to my personal email address.

Ebay/Paypal Australia try and distort Australian law to suit their procedures, getting refunds is slow and painful. At the same time Australian law won't hold the seller to the incorrect sale price but they will have to claim that the price was a mistake, at which point the goods don't have to be provided but they do have to refund the money immediately (which Ebay/Paypal will say they can't do).

Will this still be valid now they have send out emails about it being a matter of lack of inventory because it is supposedly EOL? By which they are silently implying (in my opion) the price was right.

As it is easy to debunk their false claim about it being EOL, how does that leave our "case"?

It has been 5 hours since they started sending out cancellation mails, why not close the eBay store until everything is fixed? Wouldn't surprise me if at the moment it is still possible to find something cheap that is supposed to cost a lot. (If you don't mind crawling through 4000 pages). I just don't get them..
