I actually meant this one here, but the one in your link is maybe even worse:

There are pictures of e.g. the TO2002 with a temperature style palette which look much better. Might of course depend on the settings though.

Intensity grading on Micsig's are pretty good. There are much better examples than in previous few posts.

Micsig's Intensity grading is usually pretty good, though this ain't from MHO1, but an older STO1104C and vids from a handful of years back with a lightsensor / lazing diode, but it still gives an idea of Micsig's 256-levels of intensity grading both in native ch. colors, and heat mapping, as it's likely the same look-up table that Micsig is still using, which back then was the BGYOR wavelength color-toning spectrum for the CCT.
I think it's pretty good, and I was quite impressed with their 256-levels of grading and their LUT for temp-visualization. https://tinyurl.com/386ss23w

Maybe it's been changed with updates over the years, and on newer models, -but it gives an idea of the Correlated Color Temperature template Micisig was using back then.

Waveform capture rate in standard auto-memory peaks around 100,000 wfms/s on that older STO-1104C battery model, while newer models and certainly also MHO3 and MHO6 are faster, but it could look like this coming "MHO1" is spec'ed a tad lower, at around 50.000 (normal auto) Its likely better in practise at ideal scales, but like always it varies drastically across settings & time standards. (I'm not referring to any post-sequence / segm. aspects, just normal use)

I do like Micsig's temperature grading profile.

First models are expected to be in stock by the end of April.
...

Just had a chat with Micsig, they expect to start selling mid June.

A long video of MHO1
It's in Chinese, but most of it is pretty obvious.   https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1nswxezEZe/?vd_source=92222cb275ff3b6e0db28221a2d4ac6c
Its the 200Mhz model, and it looks like the bw ain't to far over that.
All in all, not much to write home about.

Wasn't this already posted in #26?

Looking at the datasheet, there is obviously only one ADC (as in the STO1000). So the sample rate and memory is split when using more than one channel. Also, the timebase accuracy is only specified as 20ppm which is slightly underwhelming nowadays. There's also no channel-to-channel trigger (as in the STO1000). I think it's slightly sad that the more advanced probe connectors of the STO1000 are gone. I'm not sure if there were ever active probes using the serial connectors, but this also means that there's no automatic probe detection.

Anyway, I guess for a tiny mobile scope, these things don't really matter and it still looks like a solid little scope from what I can tell.

Yes it is the same video.

Btw, what do you mean by Channel To Channel Trigger?

Still not much to be found about this scope. Eleshop has pushed back the date to June 3rd now.

Yep, same..
Though new comments under that video, talk about the lack of availability in China (comments dated early May 2025), so there seems to be a delay also in China on the MHO1 release.

The active UPI-probe interface that was on the very early STO1000 models was abandoned quite quickly, the majority of the units didn't have UPI interface.
UPI was a Universal Probe Interface, which I speculate that Micsig had hoped that other vendors would adopt, as Micsig already had another proprietary probe interface for their higher-end models, like ETOxxxx.. - the same interface that has been carried onto MDO3/MHO3 and MHO6.
The active aspect for current probes etc.. can be handy, though the x1 or x10, etc., attenuation-sensing that tends to be proprietary .. That ain't something I miss on a scope in this price bracket, where x10 is the norm, and I don't think Micsig even got other attenuation standards for their common passive vprobes..

Not that different from previous versions (STO1104E, STO1004) - shared ADC; shared memory (110 Mpts vs 70 Mpts before, around ~1Mpts/ch in auto mode). Statistics is new, (didn't see segmented memory or fine vertical scale). More detailed comparison would be helpful.

E.g. trigger on an edge on channel B within a certain time after an edge on channel A.

Would be good if they'd send a review sample to Dave. Apart from the Chinese video, nothing substantial to be found.

A company that only communicates though WhatsApp has probably not a sufficient marketing dept.

I don’t think they used to sent samples to reviewers in the past.
So it’s waiting until a real user is able to order one.

Still no definitive availability.

Are you just guessing in the absence of better. (knowledge)
It would take you a few seconds to examine these things, - they do make other stuff.

??
I do have other Micsig stuff, so yes, I do know.
What has that to do with what I said?
Did you ever communicated with Micsig themselves?

Yes' they did sent product samples to users, as Dave explains in the video I sourced you..

And if you're talking with somebody "representative" on WhatsApp, its often an affiliate or brand ambassador or a way for an individuel-seller to interact with western consumers, as China IS China and highly restricted on many internet communication aspects, not least in regards to western communication forms.
.
You can contact them through their official channels and tell them your interrested in their products and more often than none, they will likely source you to one of their resellers, depending on your region... for fx Europe & UK - they have like a handful that they likely give a certain discount for maintaining a certain support to these regions.

+86 0755 88600880
Email:sales@micsig.com

Its a Chinese company that seems focused on their domestic market..
My impression of Micsig is that they don't put as much focus on other regions, as fx other well known chinese brands like Dingyang & Puyuan.
I often talk with Chinese people on whatsapp, definately prefered over fx email.. not least if the person is on a completely different timezone.. as it can be quite cumbersome over email if you carry on a conversation.

What western marketing department are you missing from a Chinese company?? in what form, they seem to outsource those aspects to third parties (likely their western resellers) even big western brands, like Micosoft or Dell etc do that, and oursource to fx India and call it support or marketing..

You’re making a lot of (false by the way) assumptions.
Maybe you should reread what I actually wrote instead of treating persons like an idiot.

Then maybe explain what you mean, as it is pretty straightforward.

If you spend a few seconds searching on Youtube for fx "Micsig reviews" you will see most of the videos are sent to them, often by "Micsig".

They have also sent quite few scopes to "western influencers"
Same with Defpom https://youtu.be/5Aaq82dzRZI?si=dUzuD3aYfwtcw8eL
Same with Kerry wong, SDG electronics and many others.

So it looks like they do, pls don't be offended when people are trying to inform you of these things
what  false assumption did I make, as it makes no sense that you claim that, and then don't explain it..

But it's like you're just concluding as you see fit, .
I recall I encountered the same from you in another thread about thermals, and you just ignore it' when other people highlight....it's not correct what you're concluding.
In that thread it seemed like you're just pulling things out of pure air, almost to the point that I wonder if you were confused with another thread. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/which-beginners-thermal-imagers-are-usable/msg5918584/#msg5918584

Its kind of "uphill" with such a level ..

Has anybody come across these signal & demo test boards from Micsig.
They are quite old, recall I saw them like a decade back, but they are still using them in product videos on fx MHO1
https://youtu.be/MB7G8_siJa8?si=IFT4VvpuA4-yajvG&t=15

Likely in-house, as I don't recall seeing them on Aliexpress or Taobao for retail sale..

It seems you didn’t (still don’t) understand the feedback I gave in the topic of thermal cameras.
That’s ok, but don’t blame me.
I’m not the kind of person that tries multiple times to explain something.
Or to proof I’m right.
Either you get or you don’t.
And it seems other people understood the feedback so mission accomplished.
Or they did care at all, which is also fine.
But the fact is I gave some relevant info and that’s what a forum is about.

I have to agree with DaneLaw on this one. The examples provided by him show that Micsig does indeed provide samples for review and marketing purposes.
Also they do run a website, have a youtube channel and market through resellers and distributors.
Now obviously Micsig isnt anywhere near Siglent in terms of size, support and marketing, at least here in Europe from what i can tell.

Also it is important to remember that Chinese companies do work differently from what "we" are used to. It does feel foreign if you ask me. And indeed whatsapp is a common way for the Chinese to do business. For them it is just a highly efficient way to communicate with western clients. Again, i agree with DaneLaw here.

I have been in contact with Micsig (the company itself) extensively and some distributors in Europe since a few weeks.
So I know how to communicate with them.

WRT samples, they don’t do it as often as some other manufacturers and certainly not recently with their new line of scopes.

How many reviews have you seen of the MHO3, MHO6 or MHO1 ?
Exactly.

Yes, not as often, but there are plenty of examples, which is the point that DaneLaw was trying to make.

In all fairness to their HD scopes, the MHO1 hasnt even been released yet, but there is still the one chinese review video posted earlier. The MHO3 and MHO6 are higher end products, and those rarely get offered to reviewers anyway. Well, unless maybe your name is Shahriar from the signal path or something...

It seems you didn’t bother to verify what you wrote yourself.

Plenty of examples you say?
Well, give me 2 (or even 1) reviews of a mho3.
Or of a mho6.
So don’t tell me I didn’t bother to verify what I claimed.

They don’t get sent to a use of their prices?
That is nonsense: even scopes that cost ten times more like the hd3 are sent to the dumbest reviewers that even don’t know how to use a scope.

And scopes are often sent to reviewers before they are available to the public.

No. i can't. And i told you exactly why that is in my last post. These high end products rarely get offered to reviewers.
The examples we are talking about are of the lower end products, like their regular 8 bit scopes, and their differential probes and current clamps. Plenty of reviews to find of those.

That is nonsense: even scopes that cost ten times more like the hd3 are sent to the dumbest reviewers that even don’t know how to use a scope.

No that is not common practice.
