Yes, cause I've done it.

Just picked up my system. SW version 6.01.01.38R3.
It looks like I was able to activate the IQ function entering the code the script generated via the screen.

I do not see the counter anymore when choosing IQ waveform, so I assume it worked.
Next the freq option, but I guess that can only be done via the network interface.

Happy with it, as I use the system for hobby and would like to learn but not build commercial systems.
Would also be happy with the system without it but very nice to play with it.

The SDG6000X is a good AWG that covers a nice frequency range up to 500MHz!! You can use a cheap Disciplined GPS OCXO like the BH3SAP (be sure and check for the mis-wire and make the mods for best results) if you want extreme frequency accuracy.

Thanks, a good idea to look into that.

These seem a bit tricky to get. Would this be a good alternative option to use ?
From the Dutch guy who also did the TinySA analyzers. I met him at a recent Ham radio show where he showed it.

Made a telnet connection to the unit, notice that the code I get with MCBD? Command is different that the Bandwith codes that were generated by the script.
Is that correct ?

What happens if I enter a wrong code ?

It will explode.. ;)
No, nothing should happen, wrong code will be ignored.
Reading out the key for the actual bandwidth serves as a check.
If you have “fed” the key generator correctly, this code should also appear under the bandwidth keys.
Then you know that the generated key for the 500M is correct.

Thanks, that is what I thought.
Strange. It was the code from the same run of the script that I used to activate the IQ option.

Although the code showed by MCBD? Was different for 200 MHz than what the script shows, I entered the 500M code anyway.
Happy to share it still worked :-)
