Don't have an answer for best settings icon right now. I tried to group/correlate things on the image to see if different orders or names or menu structures could help at all group things better. Don't have any suggestions just did this mapping, I hope I got them related correctly.

Wondering if "X-Y mode display" should be a button label instead of toggle. Much like how FELmod is showing e.g.
Display mode: [Y-T] | [X-Y]

Then similar could be done for:
Auto setup type [Orig]|[New]   (or better names for each state if possible)

It does feel weird for the 3rd level to have toggles on the left side while on the 2nd level, they're on the right side.

30Mhz oscilloscope with 100mV sensitivity and touch screen, no trigger inpu

Does it mean the DC "precision" is only about 100 mv (so it cannot precisely detect a change of 15 mV for example) ?
If yes, it's pretty unusable as such :( I probably miss something.
Most cheap DMMs can sense <1mV (it's probably comparing apples to oranges as DMMs can take many more samples)

Hi Atlan  :) I've been checking out the Beta firmware v0.26q1, specifically the Menu – System Settings – Other Settings, and I have to say, it’s looking much better to me. Moving items from the Diagnostic View makes a lot of sense.

Could you clarify what USB CH340 mode and Dev mode mean within Other Settings?

As always, huge thanks for your incredible effort! I'm sure others on the forum will share their thoughts as well Thanks  :-+

Ch340 should create a serial port for the oscilloscope in the PC and so it would be possible to send data to and from the PC. So far I have not managed to rewrite it to work with the USB program that is now in the oscilloscope. Theoretically, it would be possible to write a completely new part for serial USB.

Do not enable Dev mode, it allows, for example, launching the oscilloscope into FEL without the boot menu, and other things.

Should I leave it like that?

2 looks stranger than the previous. It would be good if you can put all the toggles on the right side (i.e. in 3rd level deep menu), regardless if there are icons for those entries or not. Then it would look best. But we're talking minor UI things here, functional is always more important.  But as a software dev designing stuff including a bit of UI at times, inconsistencies are easy to spot for me.

What about my thoughts about making "XY Mode" simply "Graph mode: [Y-T]|[X-Y]" instead? Same for auto setup type. At their heart, neither of those are really On/off toggles, they are 2 different states that the device can be put in that are mutually exclusive, so a state toggle makes more sense.

Atlan, thanks for the update! 😊

To be honest, I won’t be using Serial & FEL—sometimes, less is more. As a simple oscilloscope, the 1013D is great as it is, especially with a menu review.

Appreciate it thankyou  :-+

Seems my 1013D won't respond to a USB connect anymore.

Can I take out the microSD card and reflash it in a PC?

Edit: yes, I tried with a Sandisk 32GB card formatted in FAT32 and used the bootloader. Works.

Yes, this is how I did it early on all the time before pcprogrammer created that direct flash util. There should be info earlier in the thread on that.

Have you tried using USB2 ports instead of USB3 ports or on a different PC? Make sure the cable is data capable not just charge only in case you accidentally grabbed a different one, i.e. the obvious stuff? Does your OS not enumerate the added USB device when connected?

Remove the memory card from FINIRSI, insert it into an external card reader, format the memory card as Fat32, run FNIRSI_1.3_Firmware_Loader.exe and set the exe to the marked places in the picture and load the firmware to the card again, insert the card into FNIRSI again and run it, that's all. Do not run FINIRSI with the FEL Mode option when the Boot Menu is not open, otherwise FNIRSI will always open with the FEL Mode option and you will not be able to start your device with Normal and PECO software, if you encounter such a situation, you can fix it by reinstalling your memory card in FNIRSI with the order of the marks in the pictures and as explained in the explanation, good luck ATLAN, this latest v0.26q works better than the previous ones, thank you again for your hand and effort.

In the next update, it will not be possible to turn on FEL without the boot menu (if DEV mode is enabled, it is of course possible)

I decided to compromise in the X-Y and notification settings menu. On the left is the icon, then the toggle, and on the right is the text. It's nice to look at.

Hello Atlan, I accidentally saw the q1, q2 and q3 versions in the Github repository, I had the opportunity to try them all one by one, I appreciate your tireless and diligent work, they all work well, I follow your work closely, I started to observe a very small gap on the screen, it turned out that it was to add a generator button there :)) I wanted to check the generator button in this latest version v0.26q3 and I touched the button with great excitement, but there was a button image, but I was sad when I did not get any reaction. I hope you do not get the evil eye, I think you are very close to the result, congratulations and success.

Remove the SD card, insert it into the reader, run program 1.1.3 and uncheck the fel mode or enable the boot menu. Or use Linux

If you read my last posts on this page, I explained how to get out there, you should follow the forum.
If you read my last posts on this page, I explained how to exit there, you should follow the forum, I am writing to you again by quoting from there.

Remove the memory card from FINIRSI, insert it into an external card reader, format the memory card as Fat32, run FNIRSI_1.3_Firmware_Loader.exe and set the exe as marked in the picture and download the latest firmware here, load it back into the memory card with these settings, insert the memory card back into FNIRSI and run it, that's all. Do not run FINIRSI with the FEL Mode startup option when the Boot Menu is not open in FINIRSI, otherwise FNIRSI will always open with the FEL Mode option and your device will not start with Normal and PECO software. If you encounter such a situation, you can fix it by reloading your memory card into FNIRSI as I pointed out in the pictures and explained in the explanations I made.

The latest, really latest release should already have protection against running FEL enabled (if you don't enable dev mode), that is, if I have already uploaded it to github.

So this version should contain what version 0.26o contains. There is a new menu and some things have been fixed. For example, if you don't turn on DEV mode, you can't turn on FEL without the menu. BETA verzia Maybe something went wrong somewhere. But it should be ok.

Atlan  :) I appreciate the firmware v0.26q4 menu update for the 1013D—it looks fantastic! The REF function works seamlessly on both channels, just as it did in 0.26o, as you mentioned. I apologize if I’ve overlooked  :-/O any discussion in the forum regarding the 50% - 1kHz and the picture icon displayed on the oscilloscope, next to the battery indicator (referencing my image titled 1013D Firmware Menu 4 v0.26q4). Could you clarify how this feature operates and what information it conveys please ? Thanks again for your hard work  :-+

It doesn't do anything yet and won't for a long time. And it will, just a rectangle on the test pin. With frequency settings and maybe duty cycle. But then you need a new program for the fpga.

PC: what do you think about the possibility of removing the FLASH for F1c100, and connecting the wires to the flash FPGA. There, I think it would be possible to write the code for the FPGA. Anyway, the new program in the FPGA will end the support of the FNIRSI software.
