OK OK.....so plenty of RAM in this scope indeed... a strange scope you have indeed... I am curious to see what the problem is, if/once you find out.
I see Terra said the options are set in the NVRAM, so I guess you could look into that as well.
Maybe there is something wrong with that NVRAM. Maybe back it up, then clear it to reset it, and see what that does.
You should at the very least try to go into whatever menu can't remember, and activate the "Reset to Factory defaults" or something like that.
Helped me once, I remember...
Also check the error log, maybe there is a H/W problem that keeps the scope from using part of your RAM chips. Bad chips somewhere.
Maybe check the GPIB instruction set, maybe there are commands that could tell you what memory options is there, and what is the actual amount of physical RAM it can detect. See if that's consistent with the boot screen.
There has to be an explanation to all this....
