Test Equipment / Re: Siglent SDS800X HD Review & Demonstration Thread
« Last post by tautech on Today at 04:26:43 am »
Watched Dave's recent Rigol DHO800 review, the connector SNAFU and the oops retraction.  Part of this video he is comparing with a low end Siglent off and on.  Puts it in a bad light but I assume that was because he was beating the price drum.
At that time Joe, Dave had zero idea of what was around the corner and coming from Siglent, zip, nada, zero.

Therefore he could only compare it with existing Siglent models at a similar price point and probably had the 4ch X-E in his mind as a comparison.

Hello everyone,
A couple of weeks ago I sold my cheapy single-output power supply for good beacuse it is time for me to buy a more decent power supply for my home lab. it will be used mainly for my personal project but also on project from work (HO). These are the requirements:
Hard requirements
  • two or three independent outputs
  • Protections: OCP & OVP
  • Voltage accuracy: <=10mV
  • USB or ETH port for basic controlling

Mild requirements
  • Sequencing/programmable feature (it's a nice plus)
  • Lightweight. (Linear power supply is not a hard req.)
  • Price: ~500EUR & ~800EUR

I have narrowed down my list to the following table:

The best option that I have is the GPP-4323(dark green) but my "professional-side" inner voice it is telling me that the NGE-100 series is a good option for me as well. (realistically, a used one)

I want to debunk the need of a power supply from Rohde & Schwarz and for this, I need your help.
so my question is:
  • has anyone bought a power supply from the NGE-100 series  and regretted it?
  • if so, could you tell my why?

Cheers
Francisco

Additional notes. I manage to make the lm 317 and its current booster to work and nothing bad happen. With 21 Vdc. I can get arround 18.5 Vdc max at output after the current booster.

I made the pcb my self. I attach my back copper layout below.

I have one blown on a PCB for Fender Rumble 200 Preamp

There is an old thread on this topic but its nearly 8 years old so not holding hope of a reply.

Here are my guesses:

64s   BAT64-04 dual diode

A7   1N4007W

JF   Fuse? Does it say F9 on the silkscreen next to it?

H58   XC6220B08BMR-G ??? 0.85V voltage regulator IC maybe?

HM   can be many things. Not sure at all.

1HW   BC847

Buy/Sell/Wanted / FS: Tektronix FG501
« Last post by BlownUpCapacitor on Today at 04:04:17 am »
I am selling my Tektronix FG501. It works with no issues. Front panel pots and switches were cleaned mostly.

Multiplier cam shaft shield is a bit loose, but tape fixes that.
