I finally installed the RTC, I had one laying around.
The pcb layout of my oscilloscope is a bit different but i found 3.3v and gnd in some unpopulated pads.

Works great! Thanks for all the improvements Atlan!

Btw, I measured the capacity of the original battery and got 4.5Ah. Then realized I forgot to add over current and under voltage protection to the huge 16Ah battery I replaced it with, so with the addition of the clock I guess I accidentally made a time bomb hahaha (will add protection soon)

v0.26m add ref1 for ch1 a ref2 for ch2 BETA verzia. REF saves the waveform to reference memory and turns on the display. This is just for testing.

Hi Atlan  :) Thank you for the Beta version v0.26M! Regarding the REF waveform feature, it’s going to be an excellent addition and will be a fantastic enhancement to the 1013D oscilloscope.

Hi Atlan  :) I've been using the 1013D Oscilloscope with the beta firmware v0.26m, and I wanted to share my experience with the new REF feature. Using the REF icon (found in the Channel 1 volt/div area), I captured a 20V DC signal, which displayed a time delay when switched on. I then inputted a 10V DC signal on the same channel, and the oscilloscope successfully generated a 10V DC line that I could compare with the Channel 1 reference signal. hope my picture attached helps, The functionality works really well! ( As a Beta version )

Note on my test picture attached of the 1013D with cursors: I captured a DC 15V signal and saved it using the REF function on Channel 1. Then, I inputted a 10V DC signal ( Live ) on the same channel and measured it with the cursors. The cursors successfully displayed a 10V DC reading on the details.

I wanted to ask—can we have more than one reference icon per channel ? thanks again  :-+

Hi unsure if i am doing anything wrong / After capturing two reference waveforms using the "Ref" icon from both Channel 1 and Channel 2, I saved them as a "Save Wave" and later brought them back via Waveform View. Would it be correct that the cursor values for Voltage do not appear on the cursor display, while the Time, T, and F values show up fine? if i capture a normal signal as a "Save Wave" and later brought them back via Waveform View all OK on Voltage & Time . Thanks  :-+

Did I mention somewhere that it would be possible to save REF? :D This is not possible. It's just a test to see if it would be possible to implement.
Turn on the channel and the voltage values will be measured :D but the REF waveform is only in RAM.

The question is what to do next.

Thank you Atlan  :) for the update! Have you ever thought about the possibility of incorporating two reference waveforms per channel in the future? ( compare two different reference waveforms with a live signal to identify discrepancies or variations ) I truly appreciate all the effort you've put into enhancing the 1013D oscilloscope—it's been fantastic  :-+

Atlan  :) I appreciate the hard work you've put into the current firmware for the 1013D oscilloscope. Have you ever considered implementing temporary waveform labelling or tagging per channel or is it even possible ? (e.g., instead of just CH1 and CH2, as shown in my sample picture), with names or description resetting after a power cycle. Thank you  :)

It seems Atlan's very close to having this be at a point to be re-reviewed by Dave and seeing what the community (well, Atlan and pcprogrammer) can do to improve the software, hardware limitations not withstanding. We've come a long way here through work of both of these individuals. Thanks so much for the commitment!

Especially if someone finally wrote an FFT for this.

Calculating a FFT is not that hard. Showing the result in a useful manner on the screen is most of the work. Maybe one day I will get to doing it.

I tried 2 fft libraries, but since I don't have an integrated compiler for the netbeam environment, I link *h and *c there manually, and after about 4 reports that a file was still missing, I stopped enjoying it. Fft just a moving cursor that would show the current frequency and the dB level.

To make a FFT useful markers with information about the selected bin are needed. Another thing is the need for different filter windows, so a menu option to select one has to be added. The information can be displayed in different ways, which also needs a menu option to select the wanted method. (Logarithmic or linear) There are many more options to think of.

What is provided in the original firmware is basically crap, because it tells you almost nothing.

First, do the same as fnirsi, but with a cursor so that it is possible to at least see which frequency has the peak, then we will see.
I'll make the menu and you code the FFT :D

Way to many other things on my plate at the moment.

Edit: Here is FFT code I have used in an other project. Maybe it does the trick. There is also a fft_filters.c in it that has code for the possible window filters. The ADS8321_Analyzer_Memory.cpp file uses the code to process 16 bits samples from a 100kSa/s capture device and writes it to a database.

The benefit versus the number of lines of code doesn't seem to me to be worth the effort. So not at the moment.
Making a new input section and new code for the FPGA makes more sense to me, to make better use of the oscilloscope.

v0.26n Change trigger menu graphics.  No changes to function
There is no area for the buttons: single, auto, normal, they are so special, but the touch is not vertically aligned, so it should work well intuitively. Or should I increase the menu and have them line up?

Hi Atlan  :) I’ve had a look at the new firmware v0.26n for the 1013D, and it seems great! Personally, I would prefer an increase in the menu layout for Auto, Single, and Normal—having them line up would be fantastic  ;) (Note my Basic picture  :-/O  ) . The other options look fine to me and work well.

What do others think about this idea? Also, I wanted to thank you again for all the effort you’ve put into improving this scope—it’s been truly appreciated!  :-+
