PC: what do you think about the possibility of removing the FLASH for F1c100, and connecting the wires to the flash FPGA. There, I think it would be possible to write the code for the FPGA. Anyway, the new program in the FPGA will end the support of the FNIRSI software.

This might bring a conflict when starting up the system, where the F1C100s reads the FLASH and the two masters collide. Maybe not a problem when the F1C100s starts from the SD card, but I have no clear picture of what actually is done on startup of the F1C100s. The FPGA as is now will directly output a clock onto the FLASH chip and read data from it to load into the FPGA configuration memory. So make sure the F1C100s does not interfere with this until the FPGA is done.

A better option might be to change the startup mode of the FPGA to serial slave, and have the F1C100s load it with data from the SD card. This way there is no need to write any FLASH memory, and both of the FLASH chips can be removed. This does need investigation into how the data has to be presented to the FPGA.

It is a big hardware change either way, and how many are willing and able to do this?

Any color suggestions for ref waveforms?

as the real waveforms are yellow, how about using blue (light blue) for the ref

Well, if you turn on 4ref waveforms and the fifth ch1, if they are all yellow, it won't help you.

Team  :) It's fantastic to see up to four references per channel—an excellent update for the 1013D oscilloscope! However, it's crucial to maintain the 1013D as an accurate scope without adding unnecessary extras. I'm uncertain about the idea of an icon for swapping the test signal; accuracy in measurements and simple functionality should remain the priority when improving the 1013D.

For those looking for additional features, a different scope may be more suitable. Let's continue focusing on enhancing the measurement accuracy the 1013D offers. Increasing the sample rate for more precise measurements has been discussed, which is a positive step. However, I would not want to lose the boot-up menu. Thank you for your efforts with the 0.26q7 firmware upgrade  :-+

I have already decided that at some point I will stop supporting the original hardware fnirsi. By modifying the power supply paths, it is even possible to cancel the detection of the deviation between the channels, these are the values in the diagnostic menu - 3 to +4. I will remake the input part so that it goes from 5mV, and the new program to the FPGA. Anyway, it will cause incompatibility with the original fnirsi. I was looking at a project in a neighboring fiber DSO2512. Where the oscilloscope connects via USB to the PC and allows you to do interesting things. If the USB serial project were to be completed, it would be possible to run the software on the PC.

it would also be great to control the device from the PC. you and pcprogrammer did unbelievable things with the firmware and made 1013d really a way better and different device. it's good to have you here. thanks a lot for hard effort and professional results.
Fnirsi and yangyao must learn from you.

BTW, is there anyway to know if my 1013d is original hardware or not. i bought it just 20 days ago.

Hi Atlan, pcprogrammer :) Emm Once you conclude your support for the original Fnirsi 1013D hardware, I will do the same. Would you ever consider integrating some of the features you've added to the 1013D oscilloscope—such as the time and date RTC—into the Fnirsi 1014D model  :-/O ? I'd be more than happy to contribute a donation for any assistance in enhancing the Fnirsi 1014D oscilloscope. Looking forward to your thoughts.  :-+

The code for 1014 is available. Anyone can implement it.
 1. Fortunately, I don't have it.
2. There is also a hantek in that price, and that is a normal oscilloscope.
 3. It has a fixed number of buttons with descriptions.

1013D is a small portable battery-powered oscilloscope with a touch screen. And touch control is a very good thing, moreover, it allows you to implement any buttons and functions. Therefore, it made sense to do something with it. If it weren't for the lousy input part, it could have been a good helper.

It's been quite a journey over last year with the Fnirsi hardware, but thanks to your efforts, the 1013D oscilloscope has become a solid, reliable tool. I just wanted to personally express my appreciation for the work you've done :-+

Fnirsi and yangyao must learn from you.

That is what we try to do in that 1GHz scope thread of yangyao. Teach them  >:D

BTW, is there anyway to know if my 1013d is original hardware or not. i bought it just 20 days ago.

Open it up and take some pictures of the PCB and post them here if you can.

The latest version I know of uses an Anlogic ELF2 FPGA.

Partial picture of the board can be found here: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/fnirsi-1013d-100mhz-tablet-oscilloscope/msg5765039/#msg5765039 or my pictures and some that Dave Jones made: https://github.com/pecostm32/FNIRSI-1013D-1014D-Hack/tree/main/Pictures

Edit: fixed a typo.

I can't speak for Atlan, but for me it is just hobby and at the moment the 1014D is very very low on my list of projects that I want to spend time on. If I was in it for the money, I would not have spend about a year and a half on these scopes in the first place.

And yes reverse engineering the hardware, firmware and the FPGA programming and then writing the new firmware took a lot of time, but I learned a lot from it.

As a side note, based on what I have seen so far in respect to the DPOS350P, I would not spend my money on it.

Hi Pcprogrammer  :)

I completely understand what you've explained—it makes perfect sense. I took early retirement last November, which has given me more time to focus on my pending electronic projects.

It's a shame that the 1014D lacks an RTC  :-/O , but oh well… I appreciate your insight on the DPOS350P oscilloscope. Thanks for sharing your thoughts  :-+

Automatically open ref or math menu if ref item or math function is active v0.26q8

Do you want another menu for selecting the assignment CH1=>A etc. Or leave it as it is.

If you don't have Always 50% turned on. And you change the sensitivity in the channel menu, then your trigger can get out of signal, so you tap on 50% and the trigger is set to 50% once. (yes, that option is also in the right menu, but it's for 3 taps (why not save yourself the work) besides, I don't use the right menu, it's useless.
