The code for the FPGA is written, it works more or less the same as the original (I'm not sure if that's good).
Those who have FPGAs with the AL3a10 chip are better off than those with the EF2L45.
The AL3 has content for the FPGA in flash on the board, by desoldering the flash with the FNIRSI firmware, it is possible to program the flash for the fpga after soldering 4 wires. In addition, the AL3 allows a sample memory of more than 16000. (now 3000)
The EF2L45 has the program in its internal flash, so you need a programmer. moreover it is smaller so that the max memory for samples is about 12000.
What I have ready is AL3 with 16000 samples, possibility of setting the trigger from 0 to the end of the memory (practically only 3 in the offer: 25% 50% 75%), 1kHz output signal generator square (possibility of setting the output from 1Hz to 25Mhz - of course the higher the frequency the bigger the jump)
what I don't have ready but it is in the plan: Hold function in the trigger
By unsoldering the FLASH at the uP where the fnirsi firmware is located - it will no longer be possible to run it. Moreover, after changing the firmware in the FPGA, it will no longer work properly with the fnirsi firmware. But the advantage is that you will have the opportunity to change the firmware for the FPGA on the AL3 chip directly from the UPDATER interface of the oscilloscope.
