Of course I'm elitist. The myth that everybody is equal is a pernicious destructive force. You will never be my equal.
We know what happens when arts graduates and MBAs dictate how software is developed, etc, etc, etc.
Or maybe you think a lawyer should determine that your prostate cancer (the most common male camcer) needs to be treated, and how. Personally I'd prefer an oncologist to offer me suitable alternatives and let me choose.
Thank you so much for outing yourself so eloquently. You are 100% correct, I believe. I will not, and I will never wish to be, your equal.
Precisely!
Now, would you be content if a lawyer chose your prostate cancer treatment? Because that's the consequence of being rabidly anti elitist.
Precisely what? You know what they call the doctor who barely passed medical school and the lawyer who barely passed the bar on the 20th attempt?
You attribute blindness, but are blind to your own. On the contrary, I want to select my treatment. Thank you very much. You keep trusting your elite peeps.
Jones was elite, drink the kool-aid.
Precisely: we are not equals and never will be equals - even though lazy populist statements and HR-droids frequently state that everybody is equal.
You appear to be being perverse in deliberately ignoring what I wrote. Either that or your comprehension skills need honing. Re-read the highlighted statement.
I do ignore large chunks of information. What you have proposed makes people dumber, and they should ignore it.
So, yes, you caught me. I'm guilty and will remain guilty of ignoring drivel like that.
There's nothing wrong with Arts grads or MBAs dictating software development. The biggest problem in software is engineers who believe they know best.
Software people write code, which makes them coders, not experts on what the outcomes of the development process should be. If we follow your illogical flow, then AI should decide legal decisions (AI has passed the bar exam), AI should give you your treatment plan (It is more accurate in many cases than physicians).
If you have ever watched the movie Idiocracy, that's precisely what you are trying to encourage.
I'll give you a brief education. Humans are at least 99.9% identical. Claiming that some bit of paper, school, or anything makes one superior to the other is dumb.
Elitism is viewed negatively because it can undermine social equality, stifle innovation, reduce social mobility, and erode public trust. It is the belief that a small group of people, the elite, should have disproportionate power and influence because they are inherently superior in intellect, talent, or wealth. This attitude clashes with democratic and egalitarian values, which assert that all individuals have equal worth.
Obviously, you and Donald Trump agree, so I'm surprised by some of the other posts on here that claim otherwise.
Elitism prevents true meritocracy. Trust is earned through merit. You should investigate these two concepts in more depth and understand the differences.
