Hi Atlan,

the problems that appeared on AL3 with the new FW (spikes on the signal) were also during FW tuning on EF2L. On EF2L the problems were eliminated after changing the PLL phase shift setting from 90 to 45. :-//

Yes, you're telling me about it, but it was already compiled, and I didn't get to the new one.

Hi,

if you have time, you can upload the FW FPGA version 0x2011 for EF2L to the forum and a similar version 0x3011 for AL3. So that users can help us test the stability of the new FW for FPGA....PLL setting - phase shift 45 should be fine for FPGA EF2L FW 0x2011 If there are problems, we will return to version EFL 0x2000 and AL3 0x3000

Hi and welcome to the forum. Did you look through this thread https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/new-bench-scope-fnirsi-1014d-7-1gsas/ about the 1014D to see if the full binary is in it. I know that the flash content for the FPGA is in there and think the one for the F1C100s is also there, but it has been to long ago.

Edit: I found my post in that thread that has what you need: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/new-bench-scope-fnirsi-1014d-7-1gsas/msg4102147/#msg4102147

Hello. Help please. I can flash the fnirsi_1013d firmware.bin v0.025d.txt , and the oscilloscope turns on normally. And if I flash fnirsi_1013d.bin v0.025e, or any other recent version, an error occurs when downloading--SD card program read failed.

What SD card do you have there? How much free space is available for the firmware? 2MB of special space is required.

Hello. I figured it out. The card was damaged. I bought a new one. Everything is fine. Please tell me, what is the latest firmware version without FPGA? It's currently v0.27u.

I finally got to understand the input paths of this scope better to check out my problem

On channel 2, there's a linear offset between the A and B channels of the ADC. It's around 9% of the full ADC range.

Zoomed in on the horizontal resolution, any time where we're plotting individual samples, I'm seeing a perfect sawtooth wave... When I change the vertical resolution, the sawtooth amplitude on screen matches. Positive and negative DC offset don't seem to change the peak-to-peak of the sawtooth.

This causes the first stage of the calibration to fail for channel 2 (but it succeeds on channel 1).

Considering that the A and B channels of the ADC are tied physically for the A&B in #A&#B in, and the VrefA&VrefB, I can only assume this skew is internal to the ADC chip :(

Is there anything in the firmwares that can correct for this offset? Or am I close to the end of my 1013d journey? Or have I misdiagnosed my issue?

try removing the resistor at the ADC ch2 input, and feed the signal from ch1 through a 220R resistor.

Hi Atlan  :)

I’ve been away for a while and wanted to check—are you still providing a standard `.bin` firmware file for the 1013D oscilloscope (simple format)?

My current version is 0.26v9 . I came across a ZIP file, but it doesn’t clearly indicate the scope firmware (it’s not labelled simply as “scope” or similar), so I’m not sure if it’s the correct one.

Would you be able to confirm whether a `.bin` file is available, and if so, could you point me to the right file? Thanks in advance for your help  :-+

Try this download from Atlan new FPGA firmware with ALL17 for EF2 FPGA as a Zip file then open it this one gives you a 1013D simple firmware scope v1.00p7.bin ..  :-+

Does anyone have an up-to-date PDF or Word document or location detailing the standard 1013D oscilloscope features and functions with the 1013D simple firmware scope from version 1.00p7? Thanks

This was a bit confusing to me. It seems that the DSO firmware has a separate fork for the EF2 FPGA, which is not compatible with the AL3 hardware.
My device is the AL3 version, so I’m using DSO firmware version 1.00o8, since newer releases are not compatible.
This should be stated much more clearly to prevent people from accidentally bricking their devices.

ex:
FW FPGA EF2 v1.0
FW FPGA AL3 v1.0
FW DSO   EF2 v1.0
FW DSO   AL3 v1.0

Hi!
I have an Fnirsi 1013D based on the EF2L chip. I want to install new firmware and I have a few questions.
1. To flash the FPGA, do I need to follow the instructions at https://github.com/Atlan4/Fnirsi1013D/tree/main/Verzia%201.xxx/FPGA%20for%201.xxx/FPGA%20EF2, or can I do it from the ‘Update’ menu when starting the oscilloscope?
2. In the archive at https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/fnirsi-1013d-100mhz-tablet-oscilloscope/?action=dlattach;attach=2789289 there is an FPGA.bit file, but this file type does not appear in the Update menu; only .bin files are shown. Is it possible to use this version, and how can I convert it to .bin?

Best regards!

To program EF2, you need a programmer and an installed IDE environment TD anlogic.

The oscilloscope FW is definitely compatible with all FPGAs (except for the fnirsi fpga, probably). But it is quite possible that the fpga FW version for al3 is not up to date.

scope v1.00p9.bin untested, I don't mind. Some changes for FPGA. AL3 has version 3014, EF2 version 2014

ObsoleteDIY mas tam zmeny  o ktorych sme hovorili v DSO FW

Good evening! Atlan, I have an oscilloscope with an AL3 device, I updated the program FPGA version 3014 and now it does not turn on, just a black screen, the relays do not click.
