Wouldnt exactly call it a score, but 160€ for a GPIB PCIe card for my workstation sure doesnt sound too bad.
Prema 5000 6.5 digit DMM for 15 euro's at a hamfest. The guy selling it only read scanner (which isn't even there) and not DMM/scanner.
Mind you it is three times more than i payed for the first one (yes, got two now)
Marconi 2019 for 150€ shipped.
Guess it's not a bad deal.
Got a KEPCO BOP 100-1M for $175. Was listed for parts, as there was no output. Unfortunately the "fault" was trivial (I like the troubleshooting and repair process), the strapping from positive output to sense was missing. Apparently the instrument has a safety against operating in that state.
In any case I now have a +-100V/1A, four quadrant power supply for the bench. I'd love to have a copy of the service manual for the instrument, but Kepco charge $200 for it.
...a copy of the service manual [from] Kepco [is] $200.
Yeah - though in fairness this is a still-current instrument, they'll sell you a brand new one for ~3K list, and having the service manual generally available for a charge is also IMHO much preferable to no availability. Still, $200 seems a little steep
.
just bought 3 dmm's today 2 used Klein mm1000 digital multimeter for 18.36 ea then one new Amprobe - Compact Digital Multimeter 15XP-B for 5.50
had to barrow 13 to get the last one. but figure if nothing else i can all ways sell one.
HP E3610A off Ebay. Nothing special, but a nice little supply. Looks like it's barley ever been used.
Hi,
Here is my latest score, a Fluke 720A Kelvin-Varley Voltage Divider. Picked this up at the Dayton Hamvention for the price of $30.00.
Wuttttt That's not a score - That's the big lottery win
Why dont we ever see something like that in EU land
Contrats

I scored one of these Thurlby Thandar TTI 1906 Multimeters for a fair price and the seller was able to provide the history on the unit so I was a bit more comfortable with the purchase, I could not find any reference to them anywhere in regards to teardown pictures or much in the way of usability although I did however study both the user and service manuals prior to the purchase and will take a few pictures once it arrives. In the process of researching these units I have also gathered a fair bit of information on the entire TTI range of multimeters so I might start a thread in the test equipment section once it's all collated.
A bit of Dumpster Diving found this for the best price! (Free)
Needed 12V DC 0.5A wall wart (junk-box+) and Sats probe, found one on flea bay for USD20.
Picked up an HP 8444a tracking generator for $60 shipped. Still waiting to see if it works, but it looks complete, other than being a bit grungy.
Would have been nice to have option 059, but for the price I can live without it.
Nothing exciting, but finally picked up up a nice old variac from a local garage sale, only mentioning it because it went for £10 as opposed to six times that and I'm cheap enough to keep searching for two years to save that much.
Also some lovely metal parts drawers (unfortunately only after forking out for a couple of plastic ones from Aldi as a standby).
These were from a local machine engineer where luckily most of his impressive collection of machines went into the care of hobbyists, rather than some clearance gypo just buying the lot to sell.
Apparently a few buyers mooted that their own hoards of specialised stuff really needed to be passed on to the right people now, rather than it all being left to their families to dispose of without understanding its value.
Sad to see a box of reamers and micrometers just sitting there, just waiting for the right guy to turn up.
Nice score for both of you.

Interesting little meter, ...........and super duper power efficient too as it can even measure when turned off !
.
Im guessing yours will turn out to be a later revision which requires mains to be not only plugged in but the power switch be depressed to on for measurements.
Seriously though ... would be interesting to see under the hood.
They are a bit of an odd-ball thing, also sold as the Racal-Dana 4006 with a darker case and side handle which the TTI's also had in earlier releases, I was on the hunt for a Yokogawa but the prices are just way over the top and then this thing popped up and was initially passed in and after correspondence with the seller it seemed like a good deal so I jumped on it.
I was initially put off by the AC counts which are a bit ordinary but I don't do much with AC anyway so it won't be an issue, the RS 2007 catalogue has these listed for $1200 and the Farnell book from the same era was at $1800, these were the only prices I could find new other than some Ebay listings at around $600, anyway I paid bugger all really.
Not really a score, but a piece of junk.
...
Fluke 99 ScopeMeter plus PM9080 plus additional probes like new.
Battery is dead but I think I can live with that.
All for 100€
I feel almost like i robbed the person who sold it, but I'm a very happy
For a dollar? Nice! j/k
I got it for less than $2.00 a decade excluding s/h. I'm only interested in 8 of those switches...
those switch styles are in a 1935 catalog.
