Awesome find!
The jealousy is all on my side of the table.
Soon to test it with "your" 53132 counter.
But I doubt i have anything better to test it against...
Well some kind of verifying i could do , but i have nothing w. a lower noisefloor
Sigh ... Prob ending up CS hunting

And so it begins....
I still haven't found a CS myself. Close many times but it has never worked out.

Ah. I want to clean it up a bit before putting her out for show.

Congratulations! It looks like it's in great shape. Did it power up immediately or did it require some TLC?

It powered up right away
Was from our "Italian friend", and had been well cared for.

At the Dayton Hamvention I found an HP 339A distortion measurement set for $100 USD. Has some problems, at the very least the switches need cleaning, but given the crazy prices on these recently, I was pretty pleased. Been looking for one for a while.
My favorite on ebay lately is the one from Japan for $1500 with the $3000 (yes, that is the correct number of zeroes) shipping charge
I wager that DVD player still works if you toss it 12v on a bench supply.
Calibration not required
Looks like thermal damage and soot residue from a house fire, corrosion maybe from extinguishing water?
TerraOperative did a similar cleanup on a oscilloscope which was operated solely by a Japanese chain smoker
Looking forward to the repair video....

Don't let the smoke out Best you let it out maybe just in this case
At least there will be plenty of magic smoke (residue) inside
I have seen several eBay listings that emphasize that the gear came from a "non-smoking environment".
I have some old boat-anchors that didn't.
Well, not exactly test equipment, but I just scored 10 LED light fixtures at an auction for an average price of $7.50 each. They were listed as 277V but they actually use a supply that is rated for 120-277V input so I can just fab some hangers and plug them into the existing wiring circuit in my shop.
These were ciru sc led ho fixtures rated at 17K lumens each.
For non-Us folk, the 277V is the phase to neutral voltage for 480 3ph commonly found in industrial settings. 277 is commonly used for lighting.
Meguro 2560, fully working for about 50 usd free shipping

I got a crazy deal on an ECAL a while back and recently picked up an as new Keysight branded torque wrench for 5% of its retail price.
I figure they look good together.
Despite Keysight's efforts to turn against the home/hobby user they are still my fav T&M company.
HP 54641D Mixed Signal Oscilloscope. The colleague who is responsible for equipment disposal saved it from the e-waste recycling
It now happily lives in my ham shack. Just need to swap the Li battery, everything else is A+
Yesterday was T&M day, apart from the HP MSO these two electronic DC loads arrived.
They need work because they more or less unpredictably report a negative voltage being connected. Even when nothing is connected at all to their inputs. Suggestions welcome from those who might have seen that before.

Over the years I was able to get a few original HP and Agilent branded torque wrenches.
I was always surprised for how much they sell, even used.
But once you have one in your own hands and play with the quality, it is not a surprise anymore
That is a nice looking set with the torque wrench.
I am lucky to have a business and still can buy parts from Keysight without any hassle.
They are also by far my favorite instrument company.
Sometimes we are lucky. I just got three 2000X series scopes for a bargain, needed a little repair and they are like new now.
two bipolar power supply, for 400$
They works as power suppy or dummy load, four quadrants
One for 30V and other for 120
I can connect it to my curve tracer to test valves lamps
No more big capacitors filters at output!!!
