Atlan will know best but it almost seems like that is just a multiplier of pixel sampling.
Meaning if in 50mv per div, 1 pixel = say 1mv. @ 500mv per div, 1 pixel = 10mv, @ 5V per div, 1 pixel = 100mv, etc... So naturally if the scale changes both will equally, even if the actual voltage doesn't really hit that level.
Basically you are right. If you don't like it, turn on the fnirsi firmware, it's perfect, you can see the pixel count on the screen but the VPP is 0

sure man. i love Fnirsi original Firmware!!! it i so good in terms of hiding every damn shortcoming and sucking at doing the real job!

ok so it is actually a limit of the device itself. that's good to know. i thought i may have calibrated the device wrong.
BTW, the reference waveform is a great feature man. thanks for this. i can now easily compare fake and original chargers performance
Hi Atlan

Regarding the 1013D Oscilloscope, I have a question about the Hold Off icon within the trigger area. Is it possible for this feature to be functional in the future through a firmware update

, given the current construction of the 1013D
Theoretically yes, practically no one will do it. It is easier to write a new program in the fpga that will allow it.
Atlan

thank you for a prompt reply just wanted to know ...that's fine

have a good weekend ....
Hi everyone After configuring three of my NE555 Pulse Frequency Duty Cycle Adjustable Module Square Wave PCBs at different frequencies & Duty for a project, I tested them against a Rigol oscilloscope and our simple 1013D scope with firmware 0.26r. The 1013D results look solid—accurate enough for my needs.
Hi Atlan

I have a quick question about the reference waveforms section. On the 1013D oscilloscope, would it ever be possible to move a captured image (individually) long the Y axes on the screen ( X & Y ) for comparison with other captured REF images captured ...Currently it works in the X axes ..
I am curious about why 1013d, whether one channel or two, has only 200MS rate. Most of the scopes have double the sample rate when on 1 channel mode. Seeing that 1013d has two ADCs, why it doesn't have 400MS rate on 1 channel mode? Is it a hardware limit or firmware?

This is a hardware limit. There is no switch to route a single channel to both of the dual ADC's. The MXT2088 is a dual ADC. This means that each channel is already sampled by two ADC's. In the DPOS350 it uses four of these chips, so 8 ADC's.
Thanks man. Considering your explanation about dpos350, do you think that device's specs are real or fnirsi lied again?

With the 8 125MSa/s ADC's it can do 1GSa/s if it indeed connects a single channel to all of them. With two channels it will be 500MSa/s. But it needs really good front end circuitry to get it working properly. Signal delays and differences in linearity due to component deviations of specified values might mess things up. Also clock jitter and skew are an issue with this.
In my eyes it is a bad design. They could have used a single ADC chip like Hantek did in the DSO2000 series and get the same 1GSa/s, 500MSa/s setup, with a lot less passive and maybe active components.
thanks bro. so Fnirsi has not learned enough to implement good design. man what's wrong with Fnirsi?
Add ref buttons
thanks. it is good to select all refs at once. you really made good use of touch screen bro
Atlan

the new REF menu in the 1013D Firmware v0.26s is fantastic—it offers a wide range of combinations, making it an excellent feature for the 1013D Oscilloscope. The ability to save each configuration or all at once and recall them when needed is a great addition. I really appreciate your hard work over the past few weeks. Also, moving the 50% setting next to the probe mode makes for a clean and neat layout.
Regarding the Hold Off icon in the trigger section, as you mentioned, implementing it would require a new program in the FPGA. If that’s the case, would it be possible to hide the Hold Off icon until it’s needed? Just a thought.
Additionally, I’m unsure if this is feasible, but could Reference signals ever be adjusted along the Y-axis as they are on the X-axis?
Lastly, a huge thank you from me personally—I’m sure others on the forum will have their own feedback regarding this latest firmware update
Add ref buttons
Thanks Atlan - great developement!
Yes, it does store and signal can be recalled.
Got someone one minute for me please and explain the buttons of the REF menu
Additional, I could not come clear with the 5th row of the menu at all
greetings from Vienna /Austria
Hi wolferl1210 Regarding the 1013D Reference feature, it has developed over the last few weeks to its current state using firmware 0.26s. Your question concerns the 5th column from my perspective:
1. Ref off: Turns Ref waveforms ALL off.
2. Clear REF: Removes ALL current reference waves seen.
3. Load Ref: Captures and loads ALL reference waveforms you have stored.
4. Save REF: Saves ALL references you have captured (ready to recall once the oscilloscope is turned OFF and then back ON).
I hope this brief description helps

sure others on the forum may let you know more

Since the wave file format was modified a while ago, I finally got around to fixing it. Now, if there is a mismatch, a message about mishmash will be displayed. And additional information about the problem. At the same time, the file will not be deleted. With this idea, if necessary, it will be possible to repair old files to work with the new firmware.
v0.26s1+++++++++ actual timestamp, add fw version on waveform file, RTC buttons frst push, OTher set menu fix, baseline menu fix
Hi Atlan

Regarding the new firmware 0.26s for the 1013D oscilloscope, could you please explain how to use the "Add a Tag to BMP"

feature found within System Settings > Other Settings > Add a Tag to BMP? I'm struggling with it

Also, concerning the Hold Off icon in the trigger section, as you mentioned, implementing it would require a new program in the FPGA. If that's the case, would it be possible to hide the Hold Off icon and EXT icon until they are needed? Just a thought Thanks again
Hello everyone

has anyone experienced a slight issue with the Real Time display on the 1013D Oscilloscope? Mine needs to be moved down a bit, just above the RUN icon. Is it my display or do you have same ? Thanks, everyone
In the diagnostic menu, the frame is 0,0,480,800. Check the screen storage in the frame.
Atlan thank you for your reply regards my real time clock view do you mean this view attached picture

?
There's not much to see there, but it seems like part of the top line is hidden. The display is not properly positioned.
Atlan ok will remove it tomorrow and reseat it the will check it again
