They're pretty useful. If I'm honest I could do with one because the pulse generation capability of the Rigol DG1022Z is pretty shit. However I've bodged up an SMD 74lvc14 based PG on a board to square up the output from the DG1022Z instead. Does the job and only cost about £2. Rise time is very very low, possibly sub 1ns but I can't measure that with my crap.
Based on:

Happy TEAnniversary, everyone! May all your acquisitions be free of BISCUITS (unless you were in the mood for some soldering, of course).
Happy Birthday TEA Party - you are one year old!
Happy TEAnniversary, you helped me go from "merely unsettled" to true madness! What a gift!

Nah, don't you believe it we can still push further along the road to you become an absolute raving loony at least and maybe all the way a certified TEA lunatic
Happy TEA anniversary.
I haven't bought anything TEA related today. Do VHF antennas count as test gear if you poke them at things?
Quick! Attach it to a specan or frequency counter.
I thought I was cured, but then I got the announcement that the Kickstarter for the 121-GW was about to end so, what the heck, can't have too many meters. Far too late to be one of the early birds, so it'll be a while before I get it but darn it, still buying test gear. Truly this is an incurable disease.
Well I got my TGP110 and when I've powered it up and tested I'll post a picture or two of the soft parts inside and I also got yet another of the cheap Chinese multi testers, an updated and enhanced one that it is thought would allow for in-circuit testing of caps and their ESR. It may or may not do this, it was on special and was cheap enough so thought, why not, in true TEA fashion, any excuse is a good excuse
Don't clap too loud, it's a very old building......
Truly this is an incurable disease.
I don't think the thread would've lasted so long if it was curable.

True, unlike smoking, there is no patch available, other than the one you're looking for to cure that dammed software bug in your latest piece of processor driven
crap equipment
Not delivered to me but today on TEAnniversary at 06:41:42 AM my HP 5006A Signature Analyzer arrived in germany and will hopefully soon be delivered!
Happy TEA anniversary.
I haven't bought anything TEA related today.
I did, a heap of scopes from the factory to help some foster their addiction.
Be a few weeks before I get them though.

Yeh but only because thats your job, buy and sell them, or are having them all for your own playthings
This isn't a job.
It's an
enabling service.
I do keep the occasional model for personal use and it doubles as a demo unit until it's outdated when I offer them as SH for a good price. The best bit is being able to keep up with the latest gear and all the new features.
Here are the photos of the TGP110 pulse generator which I purchased today to celebrate the Anniversary of TEA.
Its a large box with very little going on inside is in keeping with a lot of TTi gear, the workings are on the PCB mounted vertically directly behind the front panel. It looks as if it was made during 2010 and judging by the BNC sockets and the overall condition, it has not seen much use at all and its electrical safety check expired last month.
Well screened inside and well put together, even used 2 cable cleats to secure the power cable from the power supply to the main pcb.
I think I'll keep my eyes open for 1604 DMM to team up with this and the TF930.
But I was asking about the Sound Dock... if it's one of the older models with a 30-pin dock, this looks like the way to modernize. Now... whether to get 2 or 3 of the cheap $4 one, or spring for the $11 one that's supposedly EDR/AVRC...

1) Collect TOO MANY Massive Speakers
2)
3) PROFIT!!!
The one I went for was the $4 one which turned out to be the wrong one, it works on the Bose OK but there is a background hiss all the time which I don't want and when I tried it on the Kenwin, (same as the Blaupunkt but with in place of the built in Bluetooth it has a 30 pin docking station, which is where I wanted to use the adaptor to enable Bluetooth to be used, sadly however it refuses to with that speaker system so its back to the drawing board.
If you're interested I found out that it is sold as as a Peachtree product and here is a link to review of this very speaker system

In honor of the TEAnniversary and for my mental health, i bought a HP 3312A (seemingly) almost pristine for $60, fingers crossed please.
I actually need it for once, i only got one working frequency source which caps out at 2 MHZ.
Good unit w/ modulation input too.
Good use of the anniversary also to leverage in another piece of gear!

Nice.
Geeze - two HP units posted in a row. You guys are killing me here.
My fingers are getting itchy for that Ebay search ...
I wasn't searching for one at all, it just sort of found me. Quick check of the manual and 'features' and it just needed to be done
First bit of Nixie display gear and first HP badged item
