I identify as an attack helicopter. That's perfectly fine with me, I just love helicoptersBut French helicopters go round the wrong way!
I don't know if there is a right or wrong way, however it is true that the main rotor on French helicopters does turn one direction but helis from the US or other countries rotate in the opposite direction !
This is less and less true though, since the French helis are now less and less French. The EC135 and 145 IIRC are originally an old German design so their rotor is turning the "right" way. Also, newer designs like the EC175 were co-designed with the Chinese so I suspect it also turns the "right"/"international" way.
As years go by and older French designs get phased out, progressively all French helis will rotate the same direction as the rest of the heli world...
Meh. This is the right way to do a heli... with two rotors in opposite directions.

It's a bit overkill and impractical for most purposes you would want an heli for, Dwagon...
Of course to move a fat adult 1,546 year old Dwagon, it's suitable...

the idea behind the insulin sensor is that if you do not treat insulin resistance early enuff you will end up with diabetes.
In the early onset stages the beta cells in the pancreas try to compensate by producing huge amounts of insulin to keep the blood sugar (glucose) levels stable, before they burn out and cannot handle insulin production any more.
At which time the blood sugar level will skyrocket and your general practitioner will cry out that you just developed T2D.
Which is preventable (in most cases). If you catch the elevated insulin levels before the beta cells burn out, you can actually reverse T2D. However the glucose level will not tell you if your insulin is elevated. You need to measure insulin and can then deduct if you have an insulin resistance or not. The corresponding markers are the HOMA and the Quicki. To calculate HOMA or Quicki reliably, you need the fasting glucose and the fasting insulin. To give you a hint:
(actual values: glucose 98mg/dl, insulin 17 mIU/l : HOMA index = 4.1 => prediabetes (HOMA = 5 would be a value found in early onset diabetes). glucose 104, insulin 24: HOMA index = 6.2, quicki = 0.29 => manifest T2D
glucose 98, insulin 7 = > HOMA = 1.7, not ideal, but still ok. if (HOMA >= 2.5) then IR.
Measuring blood insulin levels can detect the situation and help reverse it (by getting rid of visceral fat and forcing the body into a low carb diet, preferably ketosis).

Oh cool. There's a precise 1 pps signal on pin 8 of the RS-232 cable from the GPSDO. I gotta use that for something.
I had gathered by now that Saskia was a she.
Was? Still is as far as I know ...
No intention of changing that
I hope not. We need someone around here to clean the place and cook the meals.

Med has just established his locale as Ground Zero. Everyone ... KEEP CLEAR!

Given that I already have one that is in top condition, it would seem mean spirited to engage in a bidding war with a fellow TE addict. Fill yer boots, I shan't bid on it again.

Proposal to develop Insulin sensor submitted to the powers that be.
Now need to forward this to our CEO thru channels just in case some midlevel management critter decides that it's too much work to take a stand ...
This would be an insulin sensor that could be used in a personal device? That would be a game changer for diabetics!
yes, exactly.
