No I dont, I just have an addiction I have to feed. I sold half my kidney for this lot. I also have bids in on another HP Spec Analyzer HP 8559A and a Tek PS2520OG Programmable PSU. Fingers corssed I get them all and the seller can do a bulk shipping for me!
Nice. There's a property auction near me this month that has a lot of HP test equipment so I'm definitely going to that.

I think many people here are optimising their means like there's no tomorrow, making it seem like people have lots to spend.
I just found a HP 8566B for 450$ locally. Probably broken but I'm so tempted to pick it up.

Do it. Totally worth making any necessary repairs at that price. Or it could serve as a carcass for parts for a better example!

I'm reading the manual right now. Will probably call the guy tomorrow.
At least I don't need to pay for shipping.
I've just about had it with the Vivado Logic Analyzer (breaks at the slightest provocation with unhelpful error messages), so I'm wiring up my research project to the Tek TLA 715. Glad I picked this thing up back in December!

Yeah, that is a plus. I had my 8568B shipped; three boxes since I got the project RF section I've mentioned above. 181 lbs total, and VERY expensive.

It is worth more than that broken down for spares if it all goes to poo.

Good point! Worst case I can just sell it in parts.

This is the logic I base ALL of my purchases on. If I cannot use or fix it, I can sell for parts! T....to the E....A....BABY

Nice logic analyzer! How many channels do you have ?

2 136 channel 2 GHz modules. Mind you, I don't have nearly enough probes and flying leads for all that as of yet. I'd also like to find the DSO module Tek made for this mainframe system, so I could replace the second LA module and have a big mixed signal scope.
@med, that 7704A is toast brotha, you'll be getting the 7704. SO sorry I didnt see it earlier before I opened my big mouth.
Help please? What is this dude worth?

It's a digital SWR/ERP meter. Value depends on functionality and how many of the slugs it has with, as does the operational frequency. I believe it uses the same attenuators as the 43 series, plus a directional coupler slug. I THINK.
Look at the similar items under this listing here:

Good hunting!
[EDIT]
Oh, crappity. I didn't notice at first that it was opened up. That's a... ummmmm... uhhhhhhh...
well, just a massive "damifino" modifier there.
Sorry.

Shit I didnt see the missing screws either. Damn YOU MURPHY! Guess I will have to read another fucking manual and check these thing out! MURPH-DAWG, gimme a fucking break will ya.
I think one of the forum guys wants all this gear, but I cant just pawn shit off that I know is bad or tampered...Ill leave it for another day...
Looking for Opinions:
Test equipment on-the-bench setup or test equipment on-a-shelf setup?
My table is only 32.5in deep and most of my test equipment is 15-18in in depth, so that doesn't leave a whole lot of space on my work table for DUTs or other larger projects.
I do occasionally film my projects and it might be a pain to have the equipment high up on the shelf and outside the video frame. Hmm the options
I would do a "step up shelf" off the main table surface so the gear is close (if you need screenshots for your videos) but not taking up "work space". Mount the LCD to the wall and save that space as well. Extend the overhead shelf out about 24in so you can have adequate lighting for all your videos and its not just "onesided". Just off the top of my head.

If you shoot down Big Clive style then shelves could be a problem. 1st job wall mount your monitor and get that bench space back
Your bench is wide enough in particular if you stack your 1/2RU gear on top of each other.
Nice to see I am not the only one with a current clutter/junk issue on part of their bench
