Tonight I am going to be back in the second of the two garages, helping sort through the remaining test gear and ham radio equipment. There are five pieces of gear, some old Tek scope plugins, and a cardboard bin full of parts that might be of value. Mostly, I am hoping to separate out the stuff he can sell without too much trouble on ebay (mostly amateur radio gear) and find some useful discrete components for myself.
they say the road to recovery for an addict is realizing you have a problem.
Ok then here the photos of the 2 Solartron 7150 plus meters that I managed to win at last weeks auction.

The problem is that the road to recovery turns out to be blocked by an avalanche of a dozen or so oscilloscopes.

@menm Yeah, fair point, all the same I'm making that modification to the plug end, unlike the surge suppressors etc built into power bars which need to be on 24/7 to protect other gear, its still in my book bad design in the meter to do it that way round, my Flukes 8840A and 8842A do not have this mains filter system and they don't suffer any effects from having unfiltered mains wiring within the enclosure. I mean why introduce another potentially ticking time bomb and fire hazard into the system

"Pulled from a working environment"
"Pulled from a working environment"Yes.
On a chain. Behind a tracked vehicle. Along the unpaved road till the end. And then on for a mile.
But yes.

The "working environment" was a heavy equipment repair facility. And they were using the poor thing as a wheel chock.
