Is that capacitor spooge and leak at the same time. Fun!

Oh, there are some distortions, so instead of taking the 90€ I'll let you have it.
fair enough. Only problem is that I don't have the service manual which would be kinda nice regarding the parts list and the details regarding test points and calibration
and that you can't just disconnect the laser pickup without ESD-toasting it.
and naturally I can't just throw the entire assembly into the ultrasonic without disconnecting the drive first. But I need to short circuit the laser pickup and for that I would VERY MUCH like to have the bloody service manual ...
There is NOTHING I like about that meter other than it's on the other side of the sodding planet

Sometimes I am tempted to buy things from AliExpress just to see if they are really as bad as they seem. But I really hate to encourage them.
While this would have been cheaper, I had fun just building my own 3amp LDO linear supply for a pair of GPSDO's and a distribution amp. Used a MIC29300-12WT regulator, the hard part was distributing the high thermal density. Used a ceramic TO-220 insulator and added a polished aluminum heat spreader (out of some scrap aluminum plate) and bonded it with high thermal conductive epoxy to the Hammond box. I wanted a super clean dedicated source that ran cool for 24/7 operation, and it came out great. I didn't document it very well, I just tossed it together. Need to pull it out as it sits behind my DSO and see whats in it.

I couldn't even get the (torroid) transformers needed for an 1U enclosure , for the price of these guyzz.
So i guess i need a higher cabinet now.
My problem is that Mouser/Digikey/Farnell etc.. adds a lot to shipping & VAT (Customs) , so i don't buy there.
I'd prob have used a LM317 w boost. -

Wished Hammond boxes were cheaper in DK (EU)

Still trying to work out a cheap enclosure for mine. I think I’m actually just going to bolt a couple of Hammond boxes and add some feet to it and a 3DP finger protection over the transformer terminals. Leave the back open. I’ll mount one Hammond as mains in with fuse/filter/switch/IEC socket and another output one with a couple of power poles in it.
Mine are closed on 3 sides , doesn't need any extra housing , just something simple.

Because everyone would like a bluetooth speaker in their bench multimeter:
I'm sure it is very useful, with a compelling USP as an "I speak your voltage" machine.
All you hat to do is connect it to a PC to capture the reading, then upload that to a cloud IoT service using (say) IFFT, then get that to send the reading to the bluetooth speaker.
What could possibly go wrong?
*sigh* ... no help on my 184 questions in either of the Tek forums on groups.io. Will post a thread here, in the repair forum.
Dave! Dave! ... get this thing!

may the OVP be with you - always
Elna audio caps and Nichicons for the power supply ordered. Why do I have to order stuff in the UK ? Has Germany already declined to Venezuela, when it comes do parts supplies ? *expletive deleted*
I don't know, there's something to be said for being able to say you are such a test equipment addict that even your alarm clock is a multimeter

Already tried 'Schaltungsdienst Lange'?
Thanks, unfortunately they do not have the OMS 2-manual. the OMS20 is a completely different animal.
Just the perfect anchor for the owner of a 12RU box with space to spare Ideal for @brumby you want a Christmas present eBay auction: #223782538722
Shame it doesn't have the 1.3GhZ module installed in spite of it bieng stickered as having it.
How can you see that it does not have that board? The rear has a 'C' connector.
But would it actually be necessary for a burial there ATM? Perhaps a cremation would occur
That might fit in with the current bushfires - but it's not a subject we joke about at the moment.
Quite; hence the
We realise it has to be bad, since it has reached mainstream news over here.
I spoke with a friend living in NSW (Nord-Südwest?
) last weekend who gave the actual discance at 20km. And sky/air like Peking in winter.
