I think that is the little GEC
but a hard job to make it fine.
Now starting a project for the Maker Faire.
It must be a construction where the people think how many sick in the head must be the person who made that

Wow, weve reached 1900 pages already and we're only a tad over 2 years old
"gobby" = German "geschwätzig" is based on London dialect
where gob means "Mund" as for "gob stopper" = Schnuller.
Probably "gob" is related in some way to German "Gaumen"
both sharing the letter "G"

Not just London. The use of "gobby" = "talks too much/is prone to (inappropriate) answering back"
* is pretty universal from southern England (but not the south west for some reason) and all the way up to Scotland.
Which reminds me of the poetic, principally Scots, term "gobshite" as in "He always talks errant nonsense"; typical usage "If that wee gobshite d'nay shut up sometime soon, he's ganee feel the end o ma boot".
* The meaning is context sensitive.
This installment will complete the compensation adjustments on the CA plug-in.
Here's an internal view of the CA plug-in. The compensation variable capacitors are all neatly arranged on the far right in a row. Channel A top, channel B bottom.
The test set up. Heath IG-4244 Scope Calibrator set to fast rise time 1Khz square wave and the Fluke 1900A Frequency Counter connected to the 535A Vertical Signal Out as a monitor.
Of all the attenuators the only one was slightly off. Channel A, 0.5V/div.
Fixed.
Now the IG-4244 set to 1MHz.
Amazingly good 1MHz waveform. The bandpass of the CA plug-in is 27MHz while the 535A is only 15MHz. So the 535A sets the total system response.
Next up......a more involved frequency response check.
My ebay watch list is filled with obscure tiny scopes. At one point I was even convinced to make an instagram for my NLS ms-15 scope
. Although tiny spectrum analyzer add on for tiny scopes are also great, I love the tek 1401. For great obscure oscilloscopes I love the yamaha pt3 tuner, it was a scope designed for tuning instruments, a very specialized piece of adorable kit.
