By the way, is all the bruising gone on your toe? If the bone has set, the bruising should be all gone by now and you should be walking, albeit with a slight bit of pain. If it is still bruised, get yourself to a doctor to get the bone properly set. How do I know? I did battle with the sheet metal side of mynewused above ground pool in a wind storm about a month ago; the wind won and my toe lost.
It is a bit uncanny how we find ourselves in similar situations.

Now then, this is BD139. He'd be in a disguised Ferengi carrier, like this well known example:
I'd say that definitely is a case-by-case thing... we have the sleeping Policemen up here too, and not a problem; tho there are also some steep driveways where just the hitch bottoms out sometimes.
It all boils down to the vehicle and the loading; my Eldos I could put 800 lbs tongue weight on the hitch and it would just pump up the airbags to compensate. I've also seen Ford escorts with a huge Jazzy scooter on the back, which is pretty much the same thing as my fanny pack, only more weight. The fanny pack itself weighs about 60lbs, with an advertised capacity of 500lbs.
I'd say in most cases, you should be able to carry as much on this thing as two adults in the back seat, no matter what. Just not necessarily both at the same time; it may require some help like air bags or HD struts.

Lights are easy... IIRC, those metal inserts are for these oval grommet-mount tail lights, which are pretty close to plug & play. Pop in the grommets, pop 'em the grommets, then add/connect a 4-wire ribbon cable and done.

Here in Canada, lights may be required if your cargo obscures the stock lights of the car.
For a extra long load extending over 24", you do need a red flag or other marker; your reflective tape is better than most people do.
I doubt the cops will give you any trouble. They will probably be more concerned about automated tolls that use photos of your rear license plate to send out the invoice.
By the way, here is a much better deal on lights, and supports local business:

Those carriers do not work on all vehicles. There is no chance at all that my Impreza could handle a carrier. If I need a bit bigger, I will borrow SWMBO's SUV (grocery getter), and hope she does not damage the Impreza in the meantime. If I need something like a snowblower, then it is time to start up the truck, or add a trailer as needed (10, 20 or 29 feet long options).
I hope your carrier fits a 2" or 2.5" hitch receiver. I would never trust anything that heavy on a 1-1/4" receiver...

My lawnmower is still not rebuilt; missing a 13-1/2" wheel and even the evil bay is out of stock. I tried new old stock last year, but the plastic of those wheels was so aged and brittle that the wheels are broken again...
(sore after a 7m long tumble off my mountain bike down a 30degree slope and 5 sutures to my lower lip - where the f****g bike hit me)
I hope the injuries were minor and that you bounce back quickly. Get back on the bike as soon as you can!!!
(I did a similar thing once; the handlebar snapped due to metal fatigue on a steep descent)That sounds like a cartoon plot! But not funny if you are the one sitting on the bike seat!
I am back riding again - I think it actually helps some of the milder bruises. Stitches out - he did a good job 👍
I had a friend whose ex bike mechanic forgot to tighten the stem attachment to the front forks, during a descent the handlebars lifted off in his hands, fortunately the brake cables were not effected, and he was able to lean-steer until he could stop.

I never knew about that place .... I worked just west of there (just on the other side of Hwy 401) in the 90s. All the workplaces moved out to Mississauga/Oakville as that area gentrified. I left the GTA 17 years ago since it was getting way too congested.
Edit: Oh, and I joined those workplaces when they were Canadian companies and left when they were American companies... but not for that reason.
As for the toe... it still hurts like a summitch, but it's the least of my pains right now. The abuse of hauling and manhandling multiple pieces of heavy equipment over the last week with no recovery time has pretty much crippled me yesterday and this morning; I have massive sciatica on both hindquarters and (hopefully just) a bursitis in my left knee that literally borders on collapse if I'm not extra careful of it. Even after going to bed early and sleeping a solid 10 hours I still woke up feeling like roadkill this morning.

LOL... I KNOW. That's why the WEG. I figured THAT too. Which is why I pegged it as SMPS noise, NOT SHINE.

As a matter of fact, I DO know shit from SHINE-ola.
SHINE is a ADSL susceptibilty, it can be caused by lots of different emitters including SMPS but they are more likely to cause REIN.

Yes, I know; as I said earlier, I looked these terms up to see applicability. I just don't see SHINE being able to knock out a whole ISP's network unless they're riding the copper bareback with no surge-suppression and it causes power-cycle resets in the rack. Even then, still only talking a few minutes at a time.
For extended widespread outages, I would def suspect some source of SMPS switching noise, especially likely a cheap SMPS brick that may not have proper internal isolation.

Toes. I never knew something so small could hurt so much. I ended up having surgery on one of them and the recovery period was extremely painful. Then several years after that I had a different toe get crushed in a football game when the player I was blocking stepped on my foot. Unfortunately one of the pegs on his cleats landed right on top of mine where one of the toes was. It hurt a bit, I finished the game, but the next day the whole thing turned black and I was limping while it killed for the week after. I wasn't sure I'd be able to play enough in the next game but luckily it healed up enough by then for me to be able to.

It's got to be one of the last disaster zone surplus shops going where you can get industrial castoffs for reasonable prices and I bought a number of pieces of bench equipment there over the last 2-3 years. I wonder how long they and the other commercial/light industrial businesses in the area will be around for with all the gentrification going on in Toronto, especially in that area once the condo developers started moving in after christening the area the "Castlefield Design District".
Vaughn and Markham are another two places that have had a lot of workplaces relocate from Toronto. The city's really split into a financial services and soft tech hub, playground for the rich, and a barracks for the army of low wage/gig economy workers that do the grunt work of keeping all of the service and hospitality stuff running with a huge and growing gap in between where the middle used to be. I'd leave the GTA too if I could cleanly sever ties to the area.
ohh OMG.
@work boss told me there is a concrete opportunity for me in the USA. Maybe I move there first quartal next year.
THIS CHANGE A LOT OF THINGS.

Usually what I've seen are scrap safety vests or yellow shopping bags tacked on the end of lumber that extend past the end of people's vehicles. I spent some time helping a friend build a deck a couple of summers ago and got to see how various people took care of that at the lumber yard we visited frequently during the project. My friend actually got a ticket because he picked up a couple of planks he needed for the deck and wedged them into the passenger footwell of a beat up junk Mustang convertible he was driving at the time and they extended up between the two front seats, across the back, and ended over top of the trunk. They didn't extend past the rear end of the car so he didn't think he needed a flag, didn't put one on, and got hit with a ticket which he planned to fight. I need to ask what happened with that.
As for licence plate visibility to 407 toll scanners, I suspect most things that would interfere with those would interfere with the plates being visible in general. I flat out refuse to use the 407.I never knew about that place .... I worked just west of there (just on the other side of Hwy 401) in the 90s. then pull short and lean forward so your inertia makes the back tire dig into the log
@mnem,Quotethen pull short and lean forward so your inertia makes the back tire dig into the logHey, that is different than my technique on the mountain bike. Thanks!!!, I am going to play around with my technique to see if that helps with the back wheel. I find I can smoothly float/pop my front wheel over, but always have a hit and loose momentum with the back wheel.

Just in case: if i'm bidding against someone with PP, might wanna shoot me a PM.
I'm not bidding with Powerpoint on ebay.
Fucks sake the retards have started panic buying again. No toilet paper around here.
