whats the point of tracking service if nobody records the progress??
My guess would be that it was sent through China Post. They have tracking for everything within their own domain - China - but unless you pay extra, no other carrier outside of China will bother with serving tracking data back to China Post.
Yes it was sent via China post but I have never been offered anything other then China post and I've had tracking right upto the the front door..
I'm hopeful now that I'll get my T-conn board soon as that is still being shown as sitting at Xiamen airport for the last 5 days unless it gets recalled again like the last one did
Was the package opened by customs? Sometimes if it’s rebagged the tracking gets lost.

BTW that Tek 422 on eBay is mine.
T12 controller fitted, irons modified with 4 pin plugs to suit and I can't say how good it is to be able to read clearly the display, far better then the Blue OLED controller and its also amazing just how close these two stations are now with the displays reading almost identically for the voltage being supplied to the element, the regulation of the power being consumed by each is within 1% of each other and the internal temperature measurement is within 1C.
The temperature calibration is almost the same setting as well, both stations maintain the temperature pretty well and measure within a few C on the Hakko 191 gauge, so I'm a happy bunny.

You'll have to become a bit more of an all round engineer and less of a software geek because these service engineers are only interested in getting your problem sorted by the fastest means and if that means a bodge so be it. Don't you know that they are on a bonus culture as is so often the case today, with a low basic (if there is a basic even) and they rely on getting in and out quickly to get to the next service in order to bump their earnings up. All because modern management cannot see beyond the very basic simplistic economics of employing fewer engineers but doing the work of more. To hell with the long term economics of getting a good reputation and therefore more business as a result etc, its all about the here and now.
Be very careful about going to bed early, there might be repercussions later further down the line

MD 20/20 (mad dog) used to be the late night desperation beverage of choice back in the 70's. but here in the colonies we just got a damn pizza (like the civilized people we are).

What is it with cats, are they secretly frustrated electronic engineers, I have 2 of them, Megan and Willow and Willow especially likes to climb anything high while Megan does it when she wants feeding as she knows how much it annoys me because she is the biggest of the 2 by far and also the least stable on her feet.
